They can keep running us down, keep calling us a championship team, keep calling our style physical ,they can put us on MOTD last simply because we're not fashionable because that suits us down to the ground, apart from the more astute 10% of pundits we'll just keep competing and picking up points till the penny drops with these self serving leaches.

Wilders full interview yesterday was superb, dare I say clough esk.
Wilder has been clough esque for quite a while now

my message to you all is enjoy our current status as ‘plucky underdogs’ .. because it won’t last long ;)

I thought that's what you were getting at. Not a comment on the quality of the programmes/analysis at all, really.

The program on Quest is excellent and has raised the bar. MOTD is fucking dreadful and needs to up its game. No reason why PL fans should have to keep watching overpaid people talking bollocks when there are genuinely knowledgeable and passionate people doing a much better job.

Very true. I obviously like to hear knowledgable analysis of our play. As you say Quest was very good at this.

Hopefully if we continue in this form pundits will have to give more attention to us.

Personally don't think Jrnas comments were far off at all....but Garth Crooks comments during the match were dreadful.

No. He didn't have the ball in hands. Their player was entitled to go for it.

just seen it for first time.. Hendo was fouled.. their lad follows through on him with his left foot.. that’s why he dropped the ball

My problem with MOTD this season is the quality of pundit. I feel like Alan Shearer and Ian Wright are fair and deserving of the opportunity to pass judgement on other teams as they were both excellent players for club and country, as was Lineker. They all have bias but will often lay into their teams if it's required, they don't dress it up, unlike Jenas who'll go out of his way to make out that Tottenham haven't been wank.

They're hardly on it though, and we end up with Jacamo Jenas and Australia's slowest speaker Tim Cahill. They were steady players, the best between them in this country is a league cup win, and they exist as media friendly creations, they speak in broad and sound bite friendly sentences often steeped in bollocks.

Give me a Keown, Crouch or even a Phil Neville over them two, but unfortunately Jenas especially seems to be here to stay.

It's like Dean Ashton on Quest, complete personality vacuum.

Law 12 Fouls and Misconduct

Direct free kick
A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences against an opponent in a manner considered by the referee to be careless, reckless or using excessive force:
A direct free kick is awarded if a player commits any of the following offences:
  • a handball offence (except for the goalkeeper within their penalty area)
  • holds an opponent
  • impedes an opponent with contact
  • bites or spits at someone
  • throws an object at the ball, opponent or match official, or makes contact with the ball with a held object
What about: no contact, but intending to make contact, particularly intending to make contact on a diving Scouser. I've seen a penalty given for that. Where's that in the rules?
Not that I'm still bitter or anything.

I'd love it if we got some sort of result against the Scousers later this month. That would make them sit up and take note on MOTD

Nothing to do with us, but the coverage of the Laporte injury annoyed me.

He injured himself attempting the same sneaky fucking foul that City keep doing (they generally outfoul their opponents despite dominating possession) and all that twat Jenas could say was that Rodri should have fouled the Bournemouth lad earlier in the move. Deliberate fouls are cheating, pure and simple. No wonder diving is so common, if teams like the might Man City are encouraged to bring opponents down as quickly as possible to stop attacks.

I'm glad in this instance it's come back to bite City in the arse.

100% agree. But poor little Pep sees it another way:

'Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was told to limit his spending this summer - and it could leave him with a central defensive headache.
City are yet to discover the full extent of the injury Aymeric Laporte sustained in Saturday's 4-0 win against Brighton.
But Guardiola says "it doesn't look good" and knows any absence will leave him with just two senior centre-backs.
Skipper Vincent Kompany left this summer and was not replaced.'

Diddums. What about docking Laporte's wages while he's out? Or does Pep prefer one of his players deliberately fouling an opponent?

yeah but he kicked him in the bollocks on the follow through .. watch his left foot

Hendo's got to learn to be 100% decisive in those circumstances, claim the ball and wipe out the opponent. It was his to claim.
Colin Murray should replace Lineker.

Benjamin Bloom should be one of the pundits.

Why even have pundits? Who needs them? Also Quest never fails to pad out their coverage with the usual drivel from managers after each game.

How about Tony Gale on Sky Game of The Day. “Billy Gilmour, now there’s a proper football name”. Ehhhhh????? Geoff Striker, Pete Safehands, Bob Blocktackle, Tony Longthrow, Stanley Crossfieldball, Harry Holduptheball, Dave Bulletheader, Tony Slidingtackle, now they’re proper football names. What a cunt he is.
I'm going right back to quote this, but my daughter once called Eden Hazard Eddie Harrison, which I think is a proper footballers name.

I just hope that's the last we see of Cahill I thought he was awful. It was like describing how a milkman delivers milk, pedestrian, no real insight but even he was better than fingers to chin Crooks.

Looks like they are doing something on us this Thursday on BBC2:

Despite putting us down the running order, Linekar is in my good books tonight after ripping into the PL on twitter earlier, over our VAR travesty.

Knackered and still waiting...............................

Looks like we are last again, with last neets game bringing up the back.

This is the team placed fifth in the PL against last year's CL finalists. Coming below Scumpton vs Everton.

Standby for the presenters docking with each other (Google it) over Spuds failings rather that Uniteds gains

Cunts.
