Flipping disgrace, the fa cup is about upsets and lower league teams. So what do the Beeb serve us up Dull City v The Arse, a premier league game that we can watch twice a season. Blades QPR far better bet and they chose to ignore us again!

I wonder how late they can leave it to mention us tonight on the highlights show, I will wager now that we won't be the first match shown, despite being the only upset.

Come on you red and white wizaaaaaaards

Maguire is starting tonight against Arsenal.

Agree completely with the opening post.

They introduced the show with Henry recounting examples of examples of upsets over the last hundred years, yet go on to show an all prem tie. Irony is dead.

Amazing what happens when Harry keeps his brown envelope in his back pocket, allegedly.

Qpr are the bbc's (tv) favourite team,.or at least they were in the 70's wasn't broadcasting house next to loftus road??

Anyway, expect a glossing over of our result and the explanation centering around us having ten days off to rest for the game...

London hates the northern teams, especially us..

As foxy said, they'll qiickly ignore the fact that we had an inexperienced kid at centre half, 17 year old in centre mid, winger at right back....

You mean like they did with all the kids and players playing out of position against Southampton?

Good to see the chips are all lined up and ready for placement. No one hates us, no one doesn't want us on we just aren't a big draw to anyone outside our own fan base.

Come on guys I thought the best 2 players for hull was 2 ex blades , anyway we always seem to get a better press from the beeb than sky !! thought they might have sponsored the piggies this season going on the exposure they get over us ;)

Thought he was awful so out of his depth IMO.
I wouldn't say he was awful mate,he put a couple of really good blocks in and both goals were the fault of Curtis Davies.

As much as i think he was hasty in his decision to leave, and i think the Premier league is a step too far for him,i personally don't think he did a bad job tonight.

I'm just wondering if we will get more than 30 secs of highlights on MOTD but what grinds my gears is Radio pig. Driving across town to see my mother I thought I'll see what is happening on P&G in 30mins we had one call from a Blade the rest was pigs and the show hosts having a wankfest saying how good the pigs were and how unlucky they were oh and btw they had 7000 pigs in the away end and how it must have been fantastic to be on the away end with 7000 pigs oh and how they could easily survive in the Premiership oh and another 70,000 pigs couldn't get tickets blah blah ................. please don't tell me this was a snap shot of the rest of P&G :mad::mad:

There's no reason why we shouldn't be on first 'tbh' and i think that's what will happen.

Is that it??

For fuck's sake. They didn't even have their own commentator, they had to use Andy Giddings Radio Sheffield feed.

No replays (other than aftewards) and no analysis like the Stoke - Wrexham game.

Oh well. I guess we were muppets to expect anything more (despite providing the only upset of the day).

Okay we were on 2nd but the highlights looked rushed together with radio Sheffields Andy gidding doing the commentry and no sufc chances except our goals. but I secretly like that we don't get loads of headlines and just steadily go through the round again

The picture quality was awful. Short of HD cameras are we?

Anyway, I enjoyed James Milner in 1080p. :)

I fail to understand the fascination with Hull City players. I haven't the slightest interest in them, personally.

Predictable..

Skipped over us like we were nothing, they clearly do not like our club in london...

2 and something minutes fo a proper banana skin, the bookies knew it could be a shock on the cards hence the odds being closer than the other certs...

They didn't even bother with a motd commentator..

Need more proof...

Lets try a bit of reality here. The live matches will be negotiated in advance by the beeb and BT based on potential viewing figures. No matter how much we love the Blades, we, and QPR, aren't box office so dont get the live match when the holders are playing.

As for radio pig, that's another story altogether. .....

Very poor that they didn't bother to send a commentator to the game, although it was nice to hear some passionate, local commentary.

Yes, but it was worth it to hear some bloke in the background burst out laughing when JCR got the third goal...

Poor effort from the BBC and no better than ITV's showing against Villa last year. The biggest upset of the day and they couldn't be bothered to put a proper highlights package together. It is no surprise really considering their obsession with the top premiership teams. Look at the live games selected this weekend. The match that had the biggest potential shock and highlighted what makes the FA cup different was Blyth Spartans v Birmingham but this was ignored as it did not feature a premiership club.

Say what we like about local radio and newspaper coverage (and I have on numerous occasions) but without them coverage of clubs such as ours would be non existent.
