But to be fair the 'expert summarisers', Neville and Jenas, they quickly poo pooed Happy Harry's fatigue excuses, pointing out that they were outplayed and outfought by a team that had, this season, played 32 matches compared to QPR's 22.

In fact as the camera cut back to the studio after Rednapps interview, Neville was laughing at 'Arrys bullshit. :)

I suppose you all know anyway but there are longer highlights in the match report accessed through the BBC website home page.

There was a different commentator on it too and I thought I could hear Trevor Sinclair in the background saying 'I can't believe this is happening' or something when Cambell's Rice scores his second. I wondered why the bloke was so excitable on the MotD soundtrack.

Oh and another thing, I too would prefer to see a more 'romantic' game covered live, Dover v Palace would have been more fun at least even my Mum complained that the BBC always seems to want to show all premiership FA Cup games (known as Ties? on the Beeb)

And another, other thing; I have liked Phil Neville ever since he got narked at a Blade not throwing the ball back quickly enough from the Bullens Road stand to him when he was at Everton. Because he's the only player I've witnessed who thought about what he'd done, realised it was a daft over-reaction and had the decency to come over to us again and apologise for it.

I think to be fair to the 'Star', they led with City's win over the M a s s i v e because it was probably the greater feat of giant killing?

No-one in the media really cared when 3rd division Swansea did the same thing to us at Bramall Lane when we we in the PL as I can recall.

It's not so big a thing if the PL team aren't established and are focused on staying up.

We have done exceptionally well again. The real story is the amazing regularity with which it has happened.

Morning, is that why we had jenas and harold on the show, instead of lineker??

We should take the lack of coverage as a compliment that it wasn't counted as a shock result

PL managers and players moaning they've played 4 games in 10 days boo frikin hoo. We've played 32 to their 22, it's a marathon not a sprint.

As for the ranking order on MOTD I dont want to be the first because we are the biggest underdogs doing well. Leave that the Spartans and Dover's of the competition. They deserve the attention for what they have achieved getting to this level. We will get the spotlight at the semi final stages AGAIN

Interesting point, though QPR played a full strength team yesterday whereas back when we lost against Swansea didn't we pretty much play the kids?

An even more minor and mildly pedantic matter is the fact that the beeb are in Salford, an entirely different city to Manchester. It's like confusing Sheffield and Rotherham

Fair comment, but closer to Manchester than London where the apparent bias is.

Do they have editorial input then? Take your point but it doesn't change the result and when I switched on News 24 yesterday evening we were even in the red and white ticker at the bottom as the main sports headline of the day.

Lets try a bit of reality here. The live matches will be negotiated in advance by the beeb and BT based on potential viewing figures. No matter how much we love the Blades, we, and QPR, aren't box office so dont get the live match when the holders are playing.

As for radio pig, that's another story altogether. .....

The BBC are a public service broadcaster, and theoretically are not beholden to viewing figures.

I can understand why BT would choose the matches with the most viewing appeal (advertising revenue), but the BBC should be able to go for the more "romantic" tie (at least in theory).

Even more pedantic ... BBC HQ is neither manhester nor salford. It's still Broadcasting House in London. As for MOTD - it's produced and broadcast out of the Salford site, but the personnel involved are still predominantly those that were involved in its delivery from London.

bbc use local radio commentators for non live matches nowadays due to cutbacks. if it was covered on bt sport then they take their video and audio feeds as they are all filmed and produced by sis media which are then passed to bbc and bt sport. they add there own graphics over the clean video broadcast feeds.i have a motorised sat dish so iam lucky enough to watch every game live on broadcast feeds. but, bbc, its no excuse, nobody wants to watch arse v ull. we can watch that twice a season anyway. i expect us to be live on tv should we get a prem team next.

I think i read a stat last year that every one of Man Utd's FA Cup games have been broadcast live for the past 20 years or something.
