The stewarding in front of the mop was woeful.

Too true mate. This steward looks to have positively lost it in the face of the onslaught...

Fireworks are fast becoming the scourge of football, it is only a matter of time before someone gets badly hurt or worse, I can live with kids running on the pitch at the end but anyone bringing flares or smoke bombs to a game needs banning and a visit to the courts, surely they must be adults to be able to buy these things, pity their IQ matches their shoe size.

The second smoke bomb came from the top of gangway h on the south. Landed on the netting and dropped down into the Forest fans. Thought the police and stewards dealt with it poorly.

Eh? He was the one accusing me of being one of the fans he referred to as numpties!! I know he agreed with your post and I didn't - but blimey...
It really does prove the boot is on the other foot. I asked you if you were one. That is not accusing it is asking. Instead of this tit for tat. If you do not agree with Linz or many others I take it you deem it acceptable for those people to invade the pitch or see it as a nothing incident?

The thing is .................

.................... The police and stewards shouldn't have to deal with it at all !!!!!

It's not passion, it's pre-meditated pillockery of the highest order

You have just joined this forum to post that? Hmmmm. I could not tell where it came from personally but I've heard from a few different people that it came from the Forest end.

Yawn

The ITV link that you posted on the other thread says it all. The commentator says something along the lines of "The fans are still invading the pitch from the kop end. The stewards are making an half hearted attempt to get them off the pitch" And then camera pans to a steward casually walking on the pitch.

Be reight cos whichever muppet threw it is bound to be on CCTV with a bit of luck. Call us Killjoys or whatever but I hope they find the dickheads who set them off and ban them from The Lane for life. Why can't people see that these things are fucking dangerous? Should bring criminal charges against them for harming those around them as well.

Complete bellends the lot of em and no place at Bramall Lane for them. These people aren't fucking fans.

What pisses me off more than owt is that a great game and memory has been spoiled by these NUMPTIES.

Whilst I agree with your anger towards it all mate, I wouldn't go this far. Yes it's annoying but it takes nowt away from another cracking game of football and another magic win at the lane.

AND.. as promised.. check out Salzburgs fourth goal at around 2.10..

yes he does look like steve simmonsen
cheer up you c**ts :) UTB

I have joined the forum to post that as they're seemed to be a bit of confusion as to where it came from, it came from a few rows behind me.

Agree. There was probably about 2 to 3 hundred and most of them will have been part timers. The club should ban the lot of them.
Anyone on here prepared to give anyone up or admit they were one of the numpties?
I ran on my back garden, fag lit up and shouting like an idiot.
Walked back in and our lass said`do you realise youve just scored a third`
I really should stop smoking.

Bloody hell, we're through to the quarter final after a one of the best matches for years and some fans still have to complain about a few over exuberant fans. After the rubbish we've been served up it must have been a bloody relief for some to see the team turning out a great win and superb comeback,

We're you there in the early 90's under Bassett, fans were on the pitch most matches, leave em be.

No. My main concern is the few hundred thousand they could've chucked down the swanee. But apparently we're loaded or something so I'm over-reacting.

I can't say that in years to come I'll be saying "Forest in the Cup? Oh, the match with the flares and the pitch invasions? I remember it now"

Come on then, own up, who was this?

Methinks Deano doth protest too much....

Last time I ran on the pitch was to jump on Keith Edwards at Darlington when we won the 4th division title....I was only a lad at the time and fortunately I - and the other few thousand on the pitch - weren't banned for life. Never thrown a firework or flare.

Do enjoy the rivalry at the match though.

What he said. After the garbage we've endured over the years I don't blame anybody for getting over excited at a game like todays. We were playing a fierce rival, a team a league above us and in form, and we got a couple of injury time goals? If you can't get giddy over that then what's the point?

I get the "we could get fined" sketch and agree that would be bad but as has been said earlier, if it had happened at Stevenage it would have been the magic of the cup. If we get punished for the events of today then the game really has gone to toss.
