Bit on who they need. Pretty clear we own a far better squad, which is annoying. Even their own paper admits they are lacking everywhere. If they think Colback will be God in midfield in the Prem they are living in Dreamland.

Is Colback the one that looks like the kid from The Burbs? Because he’s hardly Pemier a league quality, if it is.

Remember the doom and gloom predictions IF we got promoted. The final blow for Forest would be if someone took Johnson, maybe a Spurs or Newcastle. The bastard will go all the way.
Spurs might move for him this summer but the clubs with lots of cash can afford to wait and see how he gets on in the prem for a year before taking the plunge and extra 10 million on the price tags makes not difference to them.

Do you think so ? I've got my.doubts
The lad knows where the back of the net is to be fair but seems a bit lightweight and a gaping arsehole

Maybe I just hate the goofy twat

Think you’re blinded by the hate. He didn’t play as well against us but still did damage and he’s only 19. Who’s his dad again?

Johnson just can't put those little fucking hamster teeth away can he bless him

Hope he gets a nasty injury

Its a lot easier to pop up and score goals in the championship than it is to effect games in the premier league but we will see ,he's certainly not short on confidence

Having worked in Nottingham for years , a few of my mates are Forest season ticket holders and not one of them rates him anywhere near as highly as the tv and media seem too ! He’s a decent player but as we know with wilder when we went up , the media love a romantic story to get their teeth into and he was it !
First target they wanted and won’t get is Spence and given his influence that leaves them a gaping hole to fill !
As ever UTB !

Can see them making a move for Bogle as a replacement for Spence if he gets fit for pre season.

No doubt he’s been left with an open invite from Hecky.

He won’t accept it but they probably parted with a handshake and Hecky saying you’re welcome back anytime.

I'm sure we do want him, but can't see any logic in him moving to us.

He will stay at Wolves or move to another PL club either loan or transfer. Another season in the Championship is not what he needs at this point in his career.

Lazy journalism - there is no chance he'll return to Utd. You'd have to question his and his advisers' state of mind if he didn't choose a Prem move

If we could get him back it would be akin to when we somehow managed to get Brayford on a permanent.

MGW has publicly said how much he loves it here. Fuck it, it's happening!

Everton can't afford him, their finances are woeful.

Forest are/were a one season "wonder".

Welcome (back) to Sheffield MGW 😄

P.S. Thank you to Teamtalk for ever reliable reporting.

"United want him" in the sense that, if Wolves for some reason said "hey guys, do you want Gibbs-White on loan again?" we'd obviously say yes.

We won't be actively pursuing him, I'm very confident on that.

Too late, we already kidnapped him and he is in the back of the van right now!

Agreed.
Well, we might be texting them every day, like a lad that really fancies someone out of their league.

United want him in the same way that I want to get Jennifer Lawrence in the sack. Both ain't gunna happen though.😔

Ok this isn’t happening but to play opposing council.
  • His style of play is much more suited to sides who have more possession he’ll have that at a lower level.
  • Forest aren’t a good option, and his standing and reputation will not be improved with a season there unless they outperform all expectations like we did. Everton look like a basket case and are likely to be so for another season while Frank tries to sort it out.
  • His options would be strengthened with another season as one of the top performers in the Championship where it’s likely he would shine. Players like Bowen and Armstrong stayed for an extra season and got moves to higher level and better PL teams.
  • While obviously at a much lower level, he’d earn the same if not more on his new contract.
  • He apparently loved it here and had a real affinity with the squad. That could be entirely bollocks put out for our benefit at the time but watching him and his reaction to playing for us I don’t think it’s entirely heart ruling my head.
  • We were close last year and without Slavs start it’s likely we would have had a good argument that could have gone up automatically. He’s coming back to essentially the same squad, potentially strengthened.
  • He’d rather come here than Forest.

All fair points to consider but taking Forest out of the equation, if you were him, would you rather go to Palace, Everton, Southampton or Utd?

If they’re in the mix there’s no chance. Palace and Southampton would be no brainers, they’re both a world away from just us or Forest.
Can you imagine the shame if the Championship club you beat in the playoffs retained the best player either of you had the following season?
