He would have been the ideal Duffy replacement first season back in the PL.
He'd have been an upgrade on Duffy. Obviously in reality he was too young at the time, but had this MGW come along a couple of years earlier, things would've been very different i reckon.

Having said that it depends which way you look at it. Would we have been as defensively solid first season if we played MGW and our original formation?

Just read a wolves winger injured ACL in a friendly against burnley, wonder if this will keep MGW at wolves, he also scored in the friendly

Palace would be a great fit for him. They play fast attacking football and there's a role for him now Connor Gallagher has moved on.
They've signed Cheik Doucoure though, maybe he's filling the Gallagher whole. But generally speaking their midfield and even Zaha are getting on. Definitely be a good move for him. I think Everton is a graveyard for talent.

Don’t agree

I think Everton would - despite last seasons fk ups that are one of Englands senior clubs and he would be scored there

Didn't realise Palace signed Doucoure from Lens. That's an amazing signing

It's ridiculous how these bang average PL clubs are able to so easily hoover up top talent from France

Gonna be very interesting to see how MGW does in the premier league. Massive talent and all that but the type.of.club he will end up at wont be one that can afford to give the ball away cheaply. Will the need to keep possession take away the attackng flair that made him so successful for us ?

I think anything over £20m would be a risky signing. Established premier league clubs though can swallow it.

Think Todd Cantwell.
He ripped up the championship a couple of seasons ago.
Haven't heard bugger all since.
I firmly believe though that MGW will make it on the big stage,he has far too much talent not too make it really, he's the most skillful player I have ever seen at the lane.

Cantwell’s attitude and work ethic stink, big difference

I was about to argue that MGW isn’t like Cantwell but then you seem to disagree with yourself anyway.

For a flair player MGW is one of the safest bets I can think off.

Works his bollox off for 90mins, so even if stuff isn’t coming off for him he still gives you something.

Dream scenario. The acl injury in their squad forced them to keep him for a year allowing us to sign him if we go up. (We can dream!)

That said think he’s be ideal for Southampton. Everton have a lot of similar attaching players imo.

Southampton have got relegation written all over them next season.

Britney is staying in the Hotel next to us in Ibiza, so my boys tell me anyway....Will pop round and ask her how much he really loved playing for the Blades and where he is off to next....probably my best ever chance of being an ITKER

Knocking on her hotel door asking if her fella enjoyed the peace gardens won't seem weird at all mate, go for it!

AC Milan interested.

I think the phrase "ripped up" is doing some heavy lifting there.

Buendia I'd think would be a reasonable comparison. Same shitty club.

Wolves rejected a £25m bid from Everton

not sure what our finances are like but if it was a choice between signing some player on a permanent or using the money to try to tempt wolves with a large loan fee to bring him back for the season I’d go shit or bust on MGW and pray he stayed fit, know it’s dead money but with him and the new additions we’d have to be really unlucky not to get promoted.
