Definitely time to release him, he's injured half the time, when he's "fit" he's only capable of 60 minutes, but more importantly his attitude is poor, in terms of how serious he values his fitness/off the pitch. It' time we say thanks for the memories, but good bye, all the best and let him occupy someone else's injury list.

I think a lot of people underestimate him. I really think if he gets his head down this pre-season and works hard then next season he could come out firing on all cylinders. Who knows, maybe a call-up to the France national team could be on the cards.

The old "he just needs a good pre-season behind him." 😉

I fear for him if he gets released. Given his lack of availability for games, he might not get picked up straight away.

Imagine he's a free agent after the window shuts. What sort of condition will he have kept himself in by October without a club? He struggles to stay fit with everything provided and someone trying to enforce discipline on him. Imagine what he's like without that.

This feels a little bit like a lass who goes out with a complete dickhead who treats her like shit and repeatedly cheats on her, but who she still thinks she can change, and gives 'one last chance' about 150 times. Even that lass though wouldn't then expect said dickhead to be called up for France.

What a waste

We can't half pick em
We can't resist an experiment on players that have lost their way, as though this club is the very place for them to turn their career around

He's done mate. He's got the drive of a fiat 500.

Trust us to have btec Balotelli. At least we were never over-reliant and he did deliver in the 5 games. He didn't cost us much anyway, and was very much a wild card.

Before us; he did the same with Bournemouth. Leopards and spots spring to mind…..

Not a cat in hell's chance he could pay in the France national team, far far too many class players in front of him. I'm all for giving players a chance, but Moose just takes the piss. He could have and should have been our best forward this season, but he couldn't be arsed. He has stole a wage at the Lane, apart from his 5 good games. Let him go, it's not going to happen here is it.

Needs a club willing to take on declining pro's who are looking to revive their careers but use past glories to earn a good contract on a decent wedge whilst doing so.

I think I might know a place, actually...
And he wouldn’t even have to move house.

Joke

A handful of memorable performances in the first season which arguably paid for his fee. Unplayable on his day. Unavailable most days.

Just very regrettable that he could have been so much more. Had plenty of chances to become that talismanic player but the desire wasn't there.

La piraterie est finie 🏴‍☠️

His top level was so high that a fit and firing Mousset would have kept us up the next season. But sadly there was a reason we could afford him, and we couldn’t fix it…

That performance he put in at home to Man U was his absolute peak and the reason we signed him. He was everything we wanted him to be and more. He pretty much destroyed Phil Jones.

We have to remember that when we signed him, we’d just come up and we needed a player just like Mousse. Yes he was a gamble as he’d dropped out of Bournemouth’s first team, but that was the pond we were fishing in.

We were signing decent players with proven records In the championship and Mousse was perhaps bridging that next move into premier league squad players.

Just like Didsy was a gamble, albeit at a different financial level, Mousse was a player we could afford.

We didn’t sign him expecting him to spend more time in MacDonalds and on the treatment table than on the pitch, we signed him for the Man U or the Everton performances.

An explosive player, with good movement and vision to see a pass, making it easier for players to put him in. If Brewsters had his football brain and Mousse had Brewsters work ethic then neither would’ve played for us.

I genuinely do wish Mousse well. Lockdown didn’t help him at all, he seems to need football to be keeping his focus.

At the start of this season he looked to be raring to go, but bang on cue he did his hamstring in the first game (I think)

I wouldn’t be surprised to see him tearing up defences in some league in Europe. But I’d be less surprised to see him fail to get his fitness back to where it should be and making headlines for the wrong reasons.

I genuinely liked him. I'd have given him another chance but many of you will say he's had enough chances. Fantastic on his day. But that day is once in a blue moon. There's talent and ability in there but its just a case of getting it out of him.

Lys mousset is maybe the most frustrating player in many years. because he has such unfulfilled talent. as when in the glimpses we've see when he's focused & injury free. he's terrorised defences i was thinking of that barnsley game or the purple patch in the 1st premier league season. but as his time went on, that became rarer & rarer. he could when he focused play in the europa league

A leopard never changes his spots comes to mind
Goodbye Moose and good riddance

Dominoes will be wondering how they will cope with only 40% of its income now.

Even a mediocre level of work ethic and respect for the game and paying public and he’d have been a £50m striker.

A bum and an ungrateful brat

Biggest waste of talent I ever saw. Had the world at his feet and threw it away to toss it off with his mates and play fifa till 4am every night.
