After just an hour we were only 2 up on Saturday when Wimbledon launched it forwards and Moore came rushing out. 2 of their players went for it and Basham and Wright both ran past Moore as though they were going to cover the goal. Moore got nowhere near the ball and it was headed over him, past Basham and Wright and luckily outside the post.
To my untrained eye Moore should have stayed on his line if he wasn't going to get it, but I wondered what somebody like Bergen think about what Wright and Basham did. It looked as though they assumed that Moore would win it and they were going back to cover the empty net. As Moore didn't get to it that gave the Wimbledon pair a virtually free header that could have just as easily gone in, made it 2-1 and a very different game.
Should one of them have continued to challenge while the other ran back, or did they do the right thing in assuming that Moore would get it - ie the mistake was solely his?
