?Oh dear
You've already been shown up following this comment. Pretty embarrassing hey.Rubbish! 6 or 7 years he'll be finished in the game! What excuses are you trying to make? He's 26 and no one had ever heard of him until we signed him this season. We are beginning to find out why.
Anyone who wrote him off don't know what they are talking about. He was written off by quite a few just a few days ago.
Wow. L1 player isn't perfect and makes occasional errors. Wasn't like that when I was a kid.
Oh dear if you think Moore is the one.
It was all fields around here in those days.......
'The one' what?Oh dear if you think Moore is the one.
That was immediate reaction to the OP too.I put it all down to boredom.
After just an hour we were only 2 up on Saturday when Wimbledon launched it forwards and Moore came rushing out. 2 of their players went for it and Basham and Wright both ran past Moore as though they were going to cover the goal. Moore got nowhere near the ball and it was headed over him, past Basham and Wright and luckily outside the post.
To my untrained eye Moore should have stayed on his line if he wasn't going to get it, but I wondered what somebody like Bergen think about what Wright and Basham did. It looked as though they assumed that Moore would win it and they were going back to cover the empty net. As Moore didn't get to it that gave the Wimbledon pair a virtually free header that could have just as easily gone in, made it 2-1 and a very different game.
Should one of them have continued to challenge while the other ran back, or did they do the right thing in assuming that Moore would get it - ie the mistake was solely his?

I think by Rushing out and challenging Moore created a situation whereby either he would get there first and repel the danger or he would make it very difficult for a dons player to get a clean header on it meaning if it did go on target, it probably wouldn’t have the power to beat a man or two on the line hence Basham and Wright’s decision to run to the line. I’d say Moore misjudged that one but he got away with it. That said, I’m glad that he’s willing to try to take the responsibility and be a “sweeper ‘keeper”. I wouldn’t want to discourage him from that as it will do more good than harm in the long run (similar to how Paddy Kenny played for us).
Keepers probably more than any other position on the pitch can go from hero to zero in an instant. One or two cracks have started to appear in Moore’s game following a great start to his blades career. Let’s not forget George Long was hailed as a star after half a season in 2012-13 until his rick against Hartlepool saw it all begin to unwind. Mark Howard was a hero during the 2013-14 run under Clough before being beaten countless times from distance the following season. Simmonsen was a revelation on loan and “maybe better than Kenny” before becoming arguably the most comedic ‘keeper we’ve ever had. Time will tell with Moore but overall, I think he’s got more right than wrong this season and has been an upgrade on what has gone before him. Let’s hope this clean sheet sees him rise back to his best.
