Sorry Wiz, I wasn't making a general statement about our fans, just the few that bang on having a go at the club on here all the time

There's a small cabal of posters who get a hard on simply by repeating the same tired and nasty message. Whether you agree or not they turn up when we lose or drops points and simply go over the same ground as they have before. Not on the example you and SwissBlade use,that was my point,the penalty incident.

Not one Sheffield United fan would mind Clough coming out and berating a player for clearly going against team orders by taking a penalty and missing against his managers will.Something like this does cost us points and our fans understand that.
 
Hoping we all join together for a great night tonight and through the rest of the season. Nothing is won or lost yet.

A few game changers would give us an outstanding chance in the playoffs.

A year ago, we were in the bottom 4. I believe Clough deserves our full support in this year and the next. He tried for a certain quality but was unlucky, for different reasons, with the way things turned out with Wallace, Brayford and COG.

Regardless of what happens this year, if we have a fit Wallace next year, with Coutts, a more experienced Reed and Brayford, along with our current 11 or so, I believe that we will have the strongest team in the league.

I can't, and won't, comment on SwissBlade's behalf, but as you say, it comes down to opinions. Whether you think it's shooting ourselves in the foot is something you're entitled to consider, but those I've cited, and one or two who are clear in their dislike of Clough, are trigger happy when it comes to taking a pop at Clough. They never lose an opportunity to slag him off, pity they can't praise him in equal measure.....perhaps they've lost the knack of saying something optimistic?

I get all of what you're saying mate,but you haven't answered my question regarding the penalty incident,where iv'e no doubt that every blade would be behind Clough 100% if this incident occured.

I would hope that's the case, but I think there are a few skewered posters whose views are on default position when it comes to knocking Clough. They'd turn a sunny day grey so diehard are they in their dislike of NC. Hope that answers your question.
