I think we have exceeded him.

I’d rather keep Lundstram and let him run his deal down than spend 2-4m on Mo and most of his 60k per week wages.

And I’m not in favour of that approach with Lunny.

I’m surprised that we haven’t found anyone in Europe that we couldn’t bring in on a free that could perform a similar role than spending cash on Besic.

I agree. Besic
is nails and represents quality back up. In the absence of Lunny he represents good value. Given a run of games he could make a potent starter.

Wouldn’t mind it and a midfield two of him plus either Osborn or ampadu would be energetic and nasty enough to cover for us deploying a 10.

If we are getting a foreign defender on loan, then it's a match winning midfielder we need, not another defensive one.

Our situation is beyond grave possibly terminal. If all we can get is Besic, then that isn't going to be enough. We may as well save the money or put it towards a player on affordable wages who will be part of the team next season in the Championship.

think we might need more than one more midfielder next summer
 
I think he is player we would have kept had COVID not happened. That goes for Retsos as well as a deal was in place for him.

If we can get Mo back on the cheap, seems like a no brainer especially with Berge out as well.
 
All for Besic coming back in get him on a cheap, probably outplays fleck at this moment in time. Love how cheap or bargain to many of us blades is now 2-5 million...What snobs we have become.

we would have to buy besic if were bringing lingard in on loan but if we could get him for 3m and man utd would cover some of lingards salary it would be a very good double signing for our weakened midfield
 
My concern would be that he’ll be miles away from match fitness, as will anyone we bring in on loan. What we need is people to hit the ground running, not be unfit for 4 months and then go back to their parent clubs having had little impact.

He would definitely improve us when compared to Norwood, or Besic. If he's an option then I'd definitely bring him in just to give us some kind of fight in the middle of the park. Might also do a job in the Championship.
