Again CW and AK influence on this squad can be clearly seen, the battling spirit that Blades sides were known for has returned. Being pegged back in the last few years would have meant settling for a point or capitulating all together. Hard earned win but a home win we needed with the top three winning we certainly don't want that gap to grow even this early in the season, bored with playing catch up. Points on the board every time for me, games in hand count for nothing.

Only a personal opinion but I want to avoid the playoffs with a passion, no disrespect to other teams in this league but IMO this is the weakest it has been, so automatic for me has to be the aim.

We will only be in contention for the automatic places if we can keep within a few points of the top two by January and the ambitious Board actually back Tufty with his shopping list ....... o_O
