Shoreham Street - Til Death Us Do Part
Started well enough.........
Positive
Very much on the front step and very much the better team, had a few and wasted a few chances and then Porter finally put one away (decent enough finish at that). Had upper hand after goal and looked to get a second, on top, could have and possibly should have thrown eveything but the kitchen sink at them to go 2 up and give them a mountain to climb.
Negative.
We slowed down a bit in run up to half time, after half time I think we again dropped the tempo a bit and gave them a sniff. They put a few things together and came back at us and we weren't as sharp as in the opening half hour or so. The second half as a whole wasn't as good as the st but I think the penalty knocked the stuffing out of us.
Whinge.
Didn't see much of the penalty decision but to be fair I don't think there was much to see. From where I was sat all I could see was bafflement not only among our players but theirs as well. I didn't see any real shout from anyone for it and it, didn't even know it had been given until the ref pointed and I didn't have a clue as to why? All I can think is Harry had his hands up but that is a stab in the dark....Confused........ so if anyone saw anything that I didn't then please explain.
Summary......
Maybe all these games has taken a bit out of them which I can't overly accept as an excuse from professional footballers who should be in tip top shape and fitness. Started very well again and showed similarly styled, good, attacking football. Got a goal which was totally merited or deserved and then could have gone on and got another maybe. After that the tempo wasn't as good or fluent and after in my opinion a somewhat baffling decision we dropped a bit and let them back into the game good and proper. We still gave a bit back but for me we looked a different team second half to that of the last couple of games.
P.S
Just hope the have chance to get fit and in shape for Villa at the weekend because otherwise we aregoing to be on the end of a right mullering!
