A specific question. Most of the decision-making yesterday was good. There was a minute in the second-half when Blackman received the ball under pressure, played a bad short pass to Wright, who lost possession, and this led to Ipswich hitting the bar and almost equalising. Would you have preferred Blackman or Wright in those moments to have played a long ball forward? I would - decisions have to be taken in the light of circumstances. Almost every other decision at the back yesterday was spot-on.The WeHoof Brigade is alive and well. Incredible after last season and this. Absolutely incredible,
Go watch Ipswich Gerritforrard you Non-Blade Wankers. Leave the Lane to those who like proper football, Tufty style.
I don't like prawnsIf everyone conformed we'd end up with 25000 clones aka the prawn sandwich brigade. Be careful what you wish for.
Shillings? We went decimal 8 months before that game. Thanks Bert, saved us about £6.10 shillings. I invested it that week in a Pattagonian Gold mine which made an absolute fortune. I owe you big time!!![]()

We arrived at 12.30 the queue went from the away end to the Stretford end and back again meaning we were close to the turnstile we wanted when they opened. It was just a mad crush but we were some of the first in the ground that day.Last time we were this good we arrived at Old Trafford in 1971, (we were top of the First division v 2nd), and started queuing at 1.30pm only to be turned away- full house. ( No pre-ordering away tickets in those days).
For years afterwards we watched that George Best wonder goal on Match of the Day, just as a reminder of a really bad day. We lost 2-0.
but we were some of the first in the ground that day

I agree. I feel I ought to be saying to the kids each match.'You need to really enjoy this. The last time it was this fucking good I was younger than you.'
The young fans of today are so starved of success they think these one season wonders are a decent team, can anyone of them compare to Curry, Woodward, Jones, Birchinall? Billy Sharp? he's so last season, only time will tell if the current squad can get into the top half of the premiership. After 55 years of watching the blades we have earned our right to be grumpy old gits![]()
Bert saw the massive melee, did a quick feasibility study and decided that the best tactic for him and his men was to battle to the front. Every one of the Ecclesfield Blades were safely led through the turnstiles. We were in a similar situation. When it descended into a mad crush, I had to put my training from queuing for a pint in the Buccaneer into good use to wriggle to the front.
The match wasnt all ticket but my dad decided to play on the safe side by ordering two stand tickets from MUFC through the post and pay by cheque (no segregation these days) and it was a wise decisionLast time we were this good we arrived at Old Trafford in 1971, (we were top of the First division v 2nd), and started queuing at 1.30pm only to be turned away- full house. We don't know yet that they are one season wonders. Who knows whether they will succeed again this season? We haven't got individuals to match those you mention, but we have the potential to be a better team/squad. Team spirit and team play are terrific just now, and with lots of cover. Enjoy! The young fans of today are so starved of success they think these one season wonders are a decent team, can anyone of them compare to Curry, Woodward, Jones, Birchinall? I went with my Dad ,my Mum went shopping in Manchester and then we went to Blackpool after ,I couldn't see a thing ,my main memory was going over the Snake passing Blades on bikes with scarves tied to them. The match wasnt all ticket but my dad decided to play on the safe side by ordering two stand tickets from MUFC through the post and pay by cheque (no segregation these days) and it was a wise decision
Not up NorthShillings? We went decimal 8 months before that game.![]()
I am one year older than Metal. That Harris team was special and I don't think I will see better. However, this is how football should be played. Absolute quality not seen since those days.
I think we're all so scarred by what's happened before to totally believe what we're seeing these last two years. I keep thinking I'll wake up and we'll still be div 3 with Adkins at the helm and being back being so totally numb at what I'm watching. We are scared to get too excited so some need to mitigate by finding something anything to moan about just to protect themselvesIt's a bit like going on to a fan forum when your team is doing really well and everyone is being positive and moaning about summat!
Assisted suicide its the way forward, I hear though that S6 is now their biggest customer baseSend em to switzerland the old cnuts

I first started watching Blades when Mick Jones & Birchenall,Joe Shaw was still playing, i think.Since then i've had season tkts evry season and seen Furphys,Bassetts,Kendalls,Spackmans,Warnocks teams. This current side is definately the best midfield set up and mobile defence i have ever seen at BDTL.
I’ve got the same problem with a couple of brothers who sit right behind me although they’re 40-ish, so there are miserable middle-aged gits as well.
The couple who sit at the end of our row didn’t turn up this weekend so I moved along and sat in the end peg seat at half time. I could understand it if they’re constructive in their criticism, but you never ever hear a word of encouragement. They’re totally silent if things are going well, they never show any encouragement, but they jump onto any mistakes like it’s the end of the world usually in a foul mouthed tirade.
I did wonder what type of high-flying perfect lives they must live to be such perfectionists, but on reflection, I think there probably just a pair of small time losers who came onboard with the euphoria of last season. I’ve certainly never seen them before.
Mercedes? Cuba? And are you sure it wasn't a hostess trolley? He had with him a henchman who he would talk to none stop throughout the game about anything and everything to do with himself, but nothing about the match going on in front of him. Within 10 minutes of the first game starting I knew what kind of car he drove, where he was going on holiday and what make of fridge he was planning to buy.
