Might as well have a go in the FA Cup now

We couldn't commit to it today with the derby only next week, but now we've got through there's no reason we shouldn't give it a good go is there?

We'll have more squad depth after the transfer window and we're good enough to go a long way in the competition if the draw isn't too harsh on us.

Hopefully we get a home draw against Carlisle in round 4!

We've got some decent back up players we can give a run in the cup matches - Wright, Sharp, Lafferty, CCV, Blackman & Lundstram...

Massive bonus today. Goal from Thomas, second half appearance from Norrington-Davies and a bit of prize money. Don't mind a little cup run at all.

Just keep playing it by ear. I'd rather we use the FA Cup to rest players. Worked out well today. We're not going to win it so no reason to take chances.

Eh? We brought on Slater, Donaldson and Fleck?

From a selfish point of view given I'm down there that weekend anyway, I'd quite fancy Cov away

Most enjoyable away day for a while, thought we played well and the players and fans equally up for it. Special mention to carruthers; he certainly doesn’t deserve some of the vitriol directed at him recently. We’re better than that and should support all our players.

Agree, apart from that we're better than that - we clearly aren't. Even when we're flying.

Has Lundstram nicked your missus or summat? Really don’t like him do you. And that’s all this post is, a dig at one of our best players who you seem to have crowned king scapegoat.

I hope we get drawn against Wendy or Carlisle on Monday, get a resounding win on Friday, then laugh whole heartedly as Wednesday throw away their chance for revenge by losing their replay on penalties. A boy can dream, right?

Judging by what the Fleetwood chairman was saying, they were expecting around 600k from the fa cup, they were on tv etc, so shall we say we might have got 2-300k today, plus another guaranteed maybe 500k for the next round regardless of draw and result, we have pretty much paid for Leonard, this might give CW a bit more money to play with in the JTW

We must have been the 1st ever to sign we’re not going to Wembley when winning an FA cup game. ipswich fans looked a bit confused lol

Hoping we draw Yeovil at the lane next round and play the reserves.

Love the FA Cup personally and whilst I'd have been happy getting knocked out today if it strengthened the play off push, I'm delighted we're through.

As said above, the Cup is the only remote chance of any glory we have as we aren't going to do a Leicester.

After the disappionting match v Leicester earlier in the season, I would love us to get another premiership team and see how we match up now - think we've come a long way since then.

you dont have to ask me twice, you can toss off any of domestic cups league cup & checkatrade cup. but fa cup majority of time should always be respected as utd fans we know last 25yrs what great days / days out, you can have through the fa cup

the only expectation this yr was in 5 days we have 1st derby in 6 1/2yrs

was watching man city tear burnley apart on match of the day & in 2 minds. it would be pleasure & privilege to watch a pep guardoila side in person at lane. with the quality they have & how they play

but we would end up getting battered 5-0
:D:D
