Selles is not the guy. Despite being bought in with an "attacking philosophy"- yet, we've not seen it at all & defensively we are so open & vulnerable..

Thank god we've now got in Tanganga and Godfrey, Bindon looks useless and Peck needs support...

For me, no one other than 2 or 3 know the basics of defending, that you normally pick up at junior levels.

Cutting down passing angles, working in 2s, marking players (unless they are defending zones and not players) etc etc.

There looks to be an easy pass forward a very high percentage of the time to a player in a lot of space.

We saw the attacking philosophy for the first 30 minutes of the opener vs Bristol City and since then, zilch. Wrong midfield solutions again today. Lose this by a big score and he is probably for the chop.

I felt even last season we were too reliant on moments of individual brilliance, but at least we had a spine and some kind of organisational approach to winning the ball back and letting that happen. We are literally feeding on scraps this season, only breaking after a poor opposition pass or miss touch. Passive, boring, absolutely crap.

The press is dire. Seems to consist of one man running towards the ball carrier leaving both outlets totally open. It is pretty much what is first coached out of 8 year olds when they first start playing. 7 attackers in their half tripping over one another. No shape in either press or attacking play.
