As for McNulty and Scougall, their mates can save on money/mini buses etc next season as they wont have to come down to Sheffield to see them I feel. Be a lot easier to watch them back in Scottish first division. Neither has really progressed in the time the have been here and neither in a shocking league has been able to command a regular starting place under two managers now. They are both out of contract and both will almost certainly be released unless they make massive improvements this season.

Agree with this, both of them seem to have lost the fight/interest in holding down a first team slot for us.

By the way you seem to have an excellent knowledge of this verbal exchange Matt? ;)

Ha. I was right next to it happening. I was leaning on the bar when it happened. He wasn't threatening towards McNulty just said we shouldn't be losing to Bury at home.

McNulty could've just walked off, he had the protection of his own cordoned off area. But he chose to make it a scene by sending his boys over.

I will bet all my money that that the guy who went up to Macnulty didn't politely ask the question in the way it was reported by the OP.

Well yes, maybe after a heavy loss its an idea to keep a low profile. It's a passionate game for fans and players and I suppose it goes with the territory, if your out and about as a player fans will want to speak and ask about the game. I can understand him wanting his own space to enjoy with his mates though.

'I was right next to it happening'........Let's see, you saw a couple of players and you scuttled across to them! o_O Only pulling your leg. I hope you had a good night.

A lot of senior players and managers advise not going out local after a bad defeat. For just this reason.

it's the partying before a match that surprises me from McNulty. That may explain why he only makes the subs bench these days.

Watching some of McNultys decisions on the pitch, it's not much of a surprise that his judgement at other times isn't all it might be.

Nailed it mate! I'm like a dog to a bone. :)

Night was OK. Stinking head today though with kids going "daddy, daddy, daddy, daddy"...
Just fuck off:mad:

And if John Random came up to you uninvited and asked if you should be out on the ale when you have children to care for the next morning?

:)

Forget the lollipop. He wants a good hiding for having a jumper draped over his shoulders.
What the fuck does he think it is? Brideshead Revisited? :)
It's called Sports Casual.

Pretty gutted to here this to be honest. That been said it all comes down to how bad the fan came across I'm the first place.
I hate footballers with their cling on mates, their out there designer clothes, and their VIP areas but if this kid was a complete pissed up aggressive smartarse then he had it coming. Were you there mattbianco1 or has this been passed on to you?

Wasn't la chambre. They were in the Blue Oyster Bar.

I think reacting badly is understandable in a situation like that, but specifically saying 'who the fuck are you' if that's what he did say makes him look like an absolute prick.

Thought I would clear up the bullshit that the clown who started this nonsense! Im marc mates who was with him in the nightclub. Marc was sitting with a area cornered offf for the exact reason that a minority like the clown above start trouble for no reason! Now THIS version sounds very much more plausible.

No mention of any Lollipops either !!

He looked a right tit. He wasnt playing golf ffs. Real pet hate of mine that dress sense.

As said above, I can see both sides but McNulty really needs to understand that he will receive criticism when we lose. Something Gary Marine has been berated for on numerous occasions in this very forum

To be fair, he is from Scotland, its probably de rigueur up there :)
