Still don’t get why people complain about players being called up to play international football if and when we get to the prem we’ll have more internationals

I think Ireland can secure an impressive 2-0 victory here.

But they'll have to be clinical.

Mc goldrick v unlucky just there, playing well linking the play, just like he does every week.

He'll get them on side, just needs to chase a lost cause and punt the ball high into the air.

Mick McCarthy's not daft he knows class , he had McGoldrick at Ipswich for ages , why the fook Ipswich let him go god only knows , perhaps he just need a change as he had been there for ever .

Should only sign English players then. Won't get called up unless we crack the top 6.

Both seem to be playing very conservatively, I’m not sure if they’re playing to McCarthy’s instructions or Wilder’s.

had heard that McG was on 20K per week contract - not sure if that is true, but its a good enough reason for releasing him at end of season.

UTB
20 k a week , geez ! and really that's not a lot these days for a footballer , they really are on another planet from us !!

Saw abit of the game. Jeez Ireland were pretty dire. McGoldrick should’ve probably got at least one though.

They were better than the last few times I've watched them, they hadn't scored in their last 4 or something and they were awful in an attacking sense, today they showed a bit of attacking intent.

Think they were all scared of hurting themselves on the pitch or of getting crocked by a Gibraltar player today but definitely an improvement for me.

Fair enough mate. Being honest it’s the first time I’ve watched Ireland in a long time and I only did because a couple of our lads were playing.

Being brutally honest though Ireland are the level of a Championship side, so I’d expect them to put a couple more past opposition like that. A wins a win though.
