He does have 'issues' and is known to be a bit of a 'headbanger", he played for Red Rose Jrs in Preston and went briefly to Liverpool and then to Blackburn. He did have an 'edge' to him that Liverpool wouldn't tolerate and Blackburn did for a few years before releasing him. Pretty sure he lasted less than a day at Preston and ended up with us. Something not quite right with a kid that plays at 4 different academy's.

Headbanger? Where's metalblade :)

Could be an interesting signing, assuming Morgs is doing work with the defenders. His edge will disappear pretty quick I reckon!

Those quotes are from about a month ago, mate! Obviously a quiet news day.

Well BB, you've stuck your head on the block with names and timescales so no-one can say you're being cryptic or nebulous. The proof of the pudding, of course....

I hope you're right, of course. Those players together with O'Grady or May would make us truly formidable at this level.

I think it's very clever, but a bit sneaky, of the club to replace Harry Maguire with Harry McGahey and hope no-one notices!

Ah, just goes to show Pinchers, I've been in and out of hospital these last 5 weeks so I'm completely out of the loop with developments or the lack of 'em

I can't share the general enthusiasm for our manager either, I'm afraid:

From what i've been told even if we don't agree on a fee it looks like he will join on loan at least until Jan, so unless another club comes in for him it looks good.

Would it be improper of me to say welcome to the S2 board SIJ? ;)

Latest from BFC;

Have spoken to his dad again today.

He tells me since BFC excepted the Sheff U offer the contract we were offering him has been withdrawn. Forcing Harrison into a corner where he only has the Sheff U contract and nothing else.

Harrison and his dad are fuming with Karl and the club as they both desperately want to sign with us. They have got the PFA involved, although I'm not sure what they can help with.

Harrison desperately wants to get his career with us up and running. They are a big Leeds United family and he stated it would leave a bad taste in the mouth playing for another Yorkshire club. Odd I know but there you have it.

Chain of events;

1. Harrison offered a pro contract with us, terms were fairly poor but Harrison wanted to sign the deal to start his career with us.

2. Sheff United come in quickly with a bid to BFC for Harrison, which BFC accept straight away.

3. BFC then withdraw their contract offer, so Harrison would move to Sheff U thus enabling BFC collect the agreed transfer fee

4. Harrison and his dad are left disappointed and angry, and are currently involving the PFA. ( in what capacity I'm not s sure)

What a pair of short sighted wankers if that's the attitude. No wonder his career is off track. Grow up you fecking moron. Most of us would have loved to have this choice at that age.

Didn't do Carl Bradshaw any harm and that was over the great divide.

So he's ruling out 10% of the League as potential employers because he supports L**ds? Needs a reality check IMO.
Not sure what the PFA can do - they can't force Blackpool to offer him a contract.
If he doesn't want to come to Bramall Lane we'll move on and find someone who does.

Apparently a lot of fans think this story is BS but it does make sense bearing in mind Oyston's track record. Rose tinted's aside once again, surely we are a better bet long term than staying with a club quite clearly on the slide even if they are a league ahead at the moment. Having said that, with only 7 players, at least he's guaranteed a start with them :)

Does seem a bit odd if the lad wants to be a 'professional footballer'

I mean the clue is in the job description..!?!?!!?

We should only go for players who want to learn & play for us.

Isnt that why we bombed out brandy & taylor?

Most of that is absolute BS. The gentleman i get my information from within the club has spoke to Mcgahey and his Dad and they are both delighted at the prospect of joining us, His dad is a Leeds fan but very loosely (he doesn't go to watch them) Both Harrison and his Dad may of been slightly dissapointed with the way things turned out at Blackpool but no way have they contacted anyone about it....their loss is our gain, they showed no ambition in keeping a young prospect.

Mcgahey will sign this week with Freeman and probably be revealed next week as a double signing.

We have made a 400k bid for Brayford that has been obviously rejected by Cardiff, we are preparing another bid.

Used to post on BM but got sick of getting shot down even when i had proved to be correct with my information.

Great we have more signings lined up. Slightly disappointed that despite crying out for a striker since half way through last season, we still seem to be no nearer. Obviously, Brayford goes without saying, but the above looks like 3 more defenders?

And the strikers currently being linked to us don't exactly light the old peepers up

Surprise me Sir Nigel. Go on, I dare you :)

Excellent bit of business...wtf is going on at Blackpool?

It's hilarious Esa, 8 players on the books, a goalkeeping coach, no goal keeper, a manager who no-one has seen since he took the job, no backroom staff and a Chairman who still thinks you can sign 17 players with about £100 in 4 weeks.

Re McGahey, Bournemouth have come in with a late bid apparently, maybe that's what the 'late complications' may be.

Hopefully Harrison prefers to stay that touch further north...

A few comments from Blackpool fans in the Blackpool Gazette. On the whole they're not happy. Presumably, we will have to pay them some compensation..

“I have seen all Harrison's home matches. (not as though there were very many). His performances were one of very few positives for Blackpool FC so far in 2014. Harrison is full of potential, skill levels and body size are
very good for centre back but his calmness under pressure is his outstanding quality. Lucky Blades to have such a player. Foolish Blackpool FC for not signing him on an extended contract.”

“I am sure I saw him play a couple of games and he was quite impressive , but it was only a couple of games. Mckenzie was impressive for his first two and we all know how bad he is . I won’t say that McGahey is not a prospect because he is ,but all this fuss about him ,it makes me laugh . He managed to get into a poor pool side struggling from relegation and had limited choice of other players.”

“It is an absolute scandalous decision by the club to let this kid go to Sheffield United. Anyone with half an idea of football could witness he has the attributes to be a top, top player. This kid has good vision, great composure, an excellent first touch, good balance, great strength and makes the correct decision more often than not. For Oyston to sanction this move completely disgusts me beyond words, it is an outrageous sale...where is the vision for progression”

Looks like it's done (and more fodder to beat the Chairman with), from their forum;

His sister on FB has put 'a fantastic opportunity and a club that will hopefully help him develop for the future' then someone said 'Riga had final say and didn't want him.'

Her reply 'totally wrong, this was not the case!!! He wanted Harrison to sign!!'
