He follows SUFC Official Tweets on Twitter, right at the top, does that mean it is his latest follow ?

I wonder why ?

Looks like he's joining.

That does mean it was his latest follow. He and his family haven't exactly been subtle with their release of information, either he doesn't know how to keep a secret or he's so excited he can't contain himself

from rumours board, but might carry some weight:

"Harrison McGahey has signed a two year deal with us with the option of a third. Expect one more permanent deal to be concluded early next week and kieron Freeman on a season long loan to be announced. That'll be it for this transfer window. Clough stated he doesn't want a massive squad, wanting quality over quantity and that all transfer deals to be nearly complete at the start of pre season"

Our elusive striker may not be too far away if that is to be believed :)

Best signing so far for me this one, saw him on sky at the end of the season he looked assured and the commentator was raving about him then. Don't understand why a high championship team hasn't taken a risk on him, he is only 18 at the end of his contract and impressed in his few appearances....there loss our gain!! UTB

Been speaking to a mate of mine who is a Blackpool season ticket holder. He was shocked when I told him. Says he is already Championship quality and isn't surprised he is leaving, but very surprised it was to a League 1 club. Apparently they were offering him the square root of f*** all in wages, so I'm guessing we got him pretty cheap too. Sounds very promising.

Side note: Says he was surprised how good Harris has turned out as he was disappointing for them, and thinks Basham has found his level.

...so has he signed or is he off to Bournmouth as mentioned previously?

Is this deal dead now...?

No, but there's still the fee for him to be sorted out before it's rubber stamped, Oyston playing hardball apparently. Will no doubt end up being decided by a tribunal

Presumably all a tribunal can set is a fee, not any terms of the deal, so if Blackpool are intent to go to that all they'll get is something much less than the value they attribute to him, and not say a % of any future sale. Which, if he's actually any good, would be far more useful surely?

All gone quiet in regards to McGahey

Probably will sign for the cherries now w

I've got a feeling that Bournemouth have made the best offer, but HM2 wants to come here but our offer is well short of what Blackpool want, hence the delay.

If it does go to tribunal, what factors determine the fee? Because by the looks of things Blackpool took him from another academy and he only played a few games. Given that, would it be correct to assume that those factors will work in our favour?

Surely with the Prince on board we can outbid the mighty Bournemouth.......cant't we?

Not necessarily. Bournemouth have a Russian owner who is worth a few quid himself. I think it falls into the plan of spending prudently, whilst he obviously seems to be a good signing, do we break a salary structure for an 18 year old who still has a lot to prove? It could potentially rile a few young and senior players already at the club.

In Nige we trust.

They also picked up £6M last week from the Lallana transfer.

Were still in for him apparently.
Is he that good? or are we wasting too much time chasing this lad?

I think you can chase more than one target at once.

Think he's as good as signed, just need Blackpool to either agree to a fee, or to say no and take it to compo. Given that he's not played that much for them, I think their supposed million valuation is somewhat wide of the mark and will be far less at tribunal.

All gone quiet on the Blackpool rumour mill, they're busy running with the rumour that there new manager has quit :)

It does sound like it's just a case of fee / tribunal though and as usual, Oyston is dragging his feet trying to screw as much money out of the deal as he can. He's doing the same with Tom Ince's move to Hull.

For confirmation, some form of accommodation viewing in and around Dronfield, is now de rigueur!

We are not very good at just letting things happen are we?

Mcgahey has agreed to join us. We are trying to agree a fee or there will be a tribunal settlement.

NC, quite rightly in my view, regards COG as his number one striker target. We are in a stand-off with the hill-dwellers. Ultimately, I believe we'll get our man, if he wants (and he should) to join us badly enough.

I have no inside knowledge these days, but it really isn't difficult to read the signs, is it?

Patience everyone, there is plenty if time to get the right people in. Better a long time to get the right men than the wrong ones quickly - any fool can do that.

McGahay is very close, Oyston has been frustrating us like a tail end batsman, with the job almost done. Should be announced before the weekend, but ideally tomorrow, so he can play up at Sheffield Fc..

I believe he has signed, I'm guessing the club are desperate to unveil him officially. They will want him to be involved in the up and coming friendlies for him to gain match fitness. Will be interesting to see what figure we settle on with Blackpool (although I'm sure it will be undisclosed), surely it is a massive risk for Blackpool to take it to a tribunal they potentially could receive less than we are currently offering.

Sounds like a good player, although like everyone else I haven't seen him. Hopefully he has more upside to Harry
