Again, this makes me think that Wilder was already given the job before the fan forums, because McCabe said exactly this (although we have said it on here for ages), not sure if it was to the people in attendance or to my lads mate in the lift after, when they were chatting, but KM said something along the lines of "I can't understand why previous managers have not hoovered up all the best talent in our league and the league below, not only does that strengthen us, it weakens our opposition".

I assume CW had told KM that this would be his strategy if he came on board and KM liked what he heard.
