everyone needs to hold back from renewing their season tickets.. that WILL sort it.. assuming we're still here..

>McCabe best we've ever had ! remember ?
yeah .. like brown was the 'best' chancellor and all that

Speed is part of the current problem.

Never in a moth of Sundays should he be trusted with my team.

Came to us when he was past it and robbed us of a wage. Impact whilst on coaching staff nil.

Sorry he may have taught Quinny to flick it on?

Spoken to any of the players or coaching staff before coming to this conclusion Grump?

The ones I have contact with actually like Speed a lot and think he has helped players improve, especially the younger ones. Don't forget he is only a coach, not manager, nor assistant. He floats his ideas but Blackie is very much his own man.

Does that mean Speed will automatically be a good manager? Of course not, but he could handle it till the end of the season.

Any improvement must be behind closed doors [might be teaching them to cook?] because it sure isn't on public view.

To use your analogy you could be the best chef in the world but it's no good if the proprietor will only put beans on toast on the menu.

Speed was a fanstastic player and always played in good, passing teams who played football properly. For that he's worth a punt until the end of the season IMO. Albeit you could probably read the same for Robson.

Blackwell, however, was a shit non-league goalie who's generally achieved diddly-squat in his career.

Did I just imagine that he'd played for Big Sam and his Bolton hoofers?

Good player none the less.

It doesn't matter though, I didn't see Mourinho or Wenger having particularly good playing careers.

I'd let Speed take control until the end of the season, but people who immediately assume he's the next Messiah because he played for a few decent clubs are misguided IMHO - for every Ancellotti there's a John Barnes.

I'd like to see a passionate manager with character and decent playing style who has some experience. Holloway plays some cracking stuff at Blackpool, knows the division and he's a bit bonkers, get him in. :D

Also think David Jones has done a good job at Cardiff and plays decent stuff.

He's also happy where he is and with the backing of his backroom.

I know.

How about Sam Ellis? I've heard from one of the players he puts forward some good ideas but Blackwell is very much his own man. Also, he had a good career and played some decent stuff. ;)

Sam Ellis's only contribution this season so far has been to slag off the fans and call us moaners.
If he thinks this is moaning he wants to hang around to see what its like when we get turned over by NW's "sooper hoops" on saturday.
Unfortunately, that looks like its going to be NW's sweet revenge on Hoofwell for earlier in the season.
