And remember kids, no anodes (boy, does their advertising work on the getting into your head level!)

As exciting as that is, for me there's nothing worse that re-blacking your narrow boat so the fact I won't have to - ever - if I buy Sea Otter is a big bonus.

"Bassett, the most successful manager in the club’s history"

Really? I presume this is after Sky invented football in the early 90's then!

To be fair it is the hack who refers to DB as the "most successful manager in the club’s history", not KM.

So the Leeds-based rag thinks that Basset's two promotions and one relegation trump achievements like FA Cups and league titles. Fair enough. And Grayson is Leeds' most successful manager too, I presume.

We won all of our major trophies in the days before managers. We won things under a Secretary, John Nicholson, and haven't won anything of note since we started having a Manager, which probably tells you something. In terms of trophies, our most successful manager is also the first, Teddy Davison, who did at least get us to a losing Cup Final.

I'd be interested to know the price comparison between Aluminium and other materials.

Anodes or other types of C.P systems are not overly expensive, but need a level of maintenance, but I wouldn't think that would be a problem on the inland waterways of the UK as its a much less corrosive environment than that faced by sea going vessels.

On that subject I believe the name of the company "Sea Otters" is misleading as it implies "Sea" instead of "filthy, grotty canals", but I suppose there isn't a type of Otter with that name

Blundell is a typical United board appointment: a wealthy and successful man in local terms, but as Pinchy says he does not have the resources to make a difference.

The devil you know?

There's plenty of "multi-millionaires" out there who have bought into clubs with extravagant promises, only to turn out to be chancers or crooks.

Ok so who's going to be the first to answer this with "McCabe"

I was going to leave it for Mic.

The requirement used to be £250,000 from an incoming director.

Anyone who thinks Mike Blundell has the sort of money to make a difference at a professional football club should prepare to be disappointed.

Mike Blundell the bloke is round the twist he's lost it he doesn't even know the law surrounding tenancies. Should be ok with the rest of the board then.

I have nothing but the utmost respect for property speculators, especially those who label a style of football as 'healthy'. I simply love these people and think they contribute so much to society and to the world in general. Where would we be without people who build these apartment blocks fit for the young professionals overlooking canals, I mean where would we be?

I think we have made a good decision with Blundell. We could put him in charge of sales. Every time a club bids for a player he would say he has had a higher offer.
