McCabe's time maybe is up but if the alternative is the Prince then KM still has plenty of time left in him yet. The worse thing that can happen is if the Prince takes control. Contrary to the rubbish that has been talked about re money the prince has put in, its rubbish, over the last few years it KM who has invested, he obviously has been at the prince for him to match it, the prince has point blanked refused and KM could do nothing whatsoever about it. When the realisation came to KM that the prince would not invest anything KM has been trying to force him out of the club, this has been going on a few years now not a recent thing that people think it is. The gloves were off and because KM was doing everything he legally could to force the prince out, the prince is going after this clause that could out KM. The prince has no intention to invest and build this club, he will try to force out KM then without investing try and flog the club to anyone interested to make a quick profit.

He will sell to anyone literally anyone, would KM sell to anyone? of course he wouldn't. It will be sad day in our history if the prince wins this tug of war.

I should’ve guessed. I must do better.

Wiz hits himself in the kidney with some broken part of an air con unit. :)

I can hire myself out to hit you with it if you like. Crab Industries may be dead, but I can still spot a business opportunity ;)

Booker why don't the.likes of Bournemouth, Leicester, Southampton spring to mind ? All smaller clubs than us over achieving with foreign owners?

This is the modern world mate...the days of being owned by a local businessman are disappearing and it we want to compete at a higher level we may need to go down the same route

i'm not saying all foreign owners are bad but you would want to take a chance to be the next Charlton, Blackburn and to be honest many British consortium's too. Why do people want to invest into football clubs? Its hard to make money unless you asset strip like what's happened to some clubs. I'm not saying McCabe's perfect but I can see more risks than successors at our level of clubs. Just look at Wednesday too. Ticket price hikes, left field manager appointments, over paid signings of big names on their way down etc etc. Yes I'd love us to be took over like what Wolves have had but for every Wolves there are more examples of failures.

I am very skeptical of take overs and I think we can succeed with McCabe but it won't happen as quickly as we'd like too but it will be done in a sustainable way, that we as fans don't have to contribute too, like what Wednesday fans have.

I am not saying that you are wrong, but what you say is not in accordance with my understanding of the situation and would subsequently be pleased for you to confirm your source?
If HRH has not put the money in that you claim then surely a clause in the shareholders agreement must cover this and shares revert to original owner I.e. McCabe?

V interested in your user name, were you aware of the Len De Goey transfer? Seems people do not always tell the truth?

They never do. When people mention 'foreign ownership' in Sheffield you get 'ooooh neowww, ant tha seen Hull and Blackburn' or 'look at him in S6 (even though he has pumped millions in, he's just an idiot)'

It's never 'oh yeah I'd quite like that. It's taken Bournemouth and Leicester to the premiership and premiership title respectively. It's established Watford as a premier league team. It's given Southampton european football.'

People in Sheffield will always look at the negatives before the positives. It's in the DNA of the city.

I am from Sheffield Cartman and yes I probably fit your profile of not wanting foreign ownership but can you blame me given all the failures as well as successors. Put it this way. If you came up to me and said, can I buy your house that's worth 300,000 and I'll give you 500,000 grand for it if you win a game of rock paper scissors. If you lose I take your house and you're homeless - as has happened to many clubs over the years. Then would you really gamble on that?! I know the analogy isn't exactly the same but the point I'm saying is that there's as many failures as successors and I don't want McCabe selling our clubs future to somebody he hardly knows and hopes it will work out. I know McCabe will do his homework but the evidence with the Prince doesn't fill me with confidence.

Then if you go back far enough we had the take over proposed from Sam Hashimi. And you're asking me to say give it a go!

If clubs owners are playing rock, paper, scissors to decide their future they deserve everything that's coming to them.

As I said its not meant to be a like for like scenario. I can keep going with similar situations of at best 50/50 successors and I don't think for one minute you'd risk your own house on it, why should we see our own clubs future risked either. I'd love a Wolves, Bournemouth etc, but as I say I'm not convinced we'd get that and Southampton's success is due to their youth system as much as anything else..

Never understood why people ask for a source, would anyone ever give a source on a public forum or to a stranger, strange to even ask tbh

I believe the prince put in some initial funds at the start which would cover any agreement initially, obviously he would then have to keep investing over the seasons, I am told he has not, KM has been investing over the past few years and the prince has not matched this investment. KM has been trying to get rid of him for years but this has only come to light now because of the prince triggering this clause but this is not a new thing, they have been at loggerheads for a few years now.

You don't have to believe a word I say and you probably don't but it is right. When this saga is over it will all come out in the washing and people will see how little the prince has put in our club. They will be shocked that they have been backing the wrong horse.

Many thanks for making the effort to come back to me, no one really knows the truth as it is not in the public domain. People’s interpretation is in the public domain but not the facts as it is all Chinese whispers and if it comes direct from a source it is then only what they want you to hear and believe.
Interestingly I was told on Friday by a source that I respect that the problem is all with McCabe wanting too higher valuation and someone else to invest whilst he retained control. But as we say who knows.

Whatever, UTB.

If true don't know whether I'm more shocked by McCabes teams' due diligence and picking completely the wrong horse or by McCabes lawyers letting him sign a contract that allowed this to happen!!!

It's so far fetched as to be ridiculous and if true would be shambolic...Prince to McCabe...I will match your investment if u sell me 50% of the club for a quid..McCabe sells then the Primce doesn't match McCabes investment and there's f all McCabe can do...I don't think so

Other than the £17m cash for shares, and a £3m loan that is? Sorry, but you don't know what you're talking about.

Kevin McCabe has said himself, up to last season anyway, they've gone pound for pound., it may be true this season but to say KMc has invested everything and HRH nothing is nonsense.

I'm sure, before you do, no one would claim I'm anti McCabe.

McCabes waited over four years for him to put any money in at all before taking legal action? Come on.

What about all the documents filed at Companies House?

The share investment is in the public domain. It clearly shows that both HRH and Kevin have invested the same each year to 2017 since the Prince arrived. The initial £10m from KM was in the form of a debt for equity swap, the Prince in cash.

The Prince also loaned the club £3m last season.

IMG_2013.PNG

That's the 2016 return which shows £14m each put in.

Up dates aren't required every year but has risen to £33.2m in 2017 from the £28m shown their.

It is only a matter of time before a new company Crabs Ltd appears out of the ashes and offers to buy the Prince out for 50p.

Can't see it Bladesman my old Son. I'm busy stocking my Wine Cellar in the Mablethorpe Condo with the best that Happy Shopper can offer, living in hope that I'll hit the "just come out of the fryer" sweet spot at teatime, and of course, trying to break par at the local Crazy Golf Course. Alas, the only thing I have broken so far, is wind. That might be something to do with the Peas and (if I'm in the mood) Curry Sauce that I have with my Fish and Chips.

Oh, and one of the Donkeys is called Vern, that amuses me. Retirement is suiting me.

Let me guess the other donkey is called Higdon? :)

It was. Alas, like his namesake, "Higgy" was old, fat and slow. His disapperance having almost nothing to do with the latest delivery of Donner meat to the Happy Infidel, in turn having almost nothing to do with a small investment I made in this takeaway as a result of a plane sale I made to Southwest Airlines a few weeks ago.........ahem.

I've not read all the comments on here, but here's my take on it.
McCabe cares for this club deeply. He does lots behind the scenes for ordinary supporters that never comes to light and he wants the best for Utd. He thought that the Prince was the answer but he's obviously, for reasons not known, changed his mind. But I believe he does want the best for Utd as we all do. It must be really hard, to have spent so long shaping this club, to let it go to someone who probably doesn't give a s*** about our traditions and history and only wants to make as much money as possible out of us.
Hope it gets resolved soon tho....Wilder needs to hit the ground running so we can kick on for next season. UTB

I have to say I was quite depressed to hear it reported that McCabe said last night that he wasn't going anywhere.

Not that I'm keen to have the Prince in - he's yet another busted flush IMHO - but because McCabe hasn't the resources to do what Wilder needs either. I fear a return to 2009-11, although we have a much better manager now of course.

Excellent Crab, right up to ending the last two sentences with 'me'. Ruined the flow for..... erm........me......o_O

Wait while next season when Cardiff are playing in the Premiership and Hull and Blackburn come to the lane where you can watch them rip us a new arsehole.

Fingers crossed metal, fingers crossed .....

McCabe saying he is not going anywhere and will stay until he sees us in the premiership is not going to happen with HRH and we can subsequently assume that he has someone else lined up
