Mcburnie

I am aware but the season starts Saturday…

It’s just a shame. Like I said. I pictured this summer as us kicking on and signing players to really strengthen us. Instead we are going into the first game with a very thin squad.
I have a suggestion.
Let’s sign players that will not feature as first choice and then not offload anyone and let them run their contracts down, oh and turn out like our neighbours up the road.

I feel sorry for the posters who've shot their load TWICE over McBurnie signing due to social media twaddle. First the Birthday messages then that highlight reel the other day.

You know who you are.

Loved McB's passion and connection with the fans, but let's face it, he's either injured, getting up to speed following an injury, wrestling with the centre back, or getting into off-field scrapes. This doesn't fit the modern era of Sheff Utd.

He'd be one of our biggest earners and wouldn't be a starter. I think he'd be a great squad player but not for the money he's reportedly on. Paying big contracts to players who will be in their 30s when they run out is exactly where we went wrong under Wilder first time around. I'm glad we're not making a similar mistake with McBurnie even though I do think he'd have come in handy

Knowing about something but ignoring all consequences of it isn't what aware means.

Yes it would've been nice to have all our business done but the only way to achieve that is to offer silly money to force clubs into making decisions they otherwise don't need to make for a month - that would be stupid.

It would also involve us deciding that whoever is available now is better than whoever might become available over the next month - that would also be stupid.

Out of interest Roy, how do you know he wouldn’t be a starter?

Some posters on here like to tell some of us we have no clue about who we are interested in, how much budget the club has etc. and yet we know team selection

Not having a dig Roy, just interested to know

Most external “experts” think we have a strong squad. I agree with them, although one or two quality additions would not go amiss.

Where does he play and who in front of? Campbell is obviously better and we've spent £10m on Cannon. Only my opinion but I think he'd start as 3rd choice striker and his injury record suggests he'd only play half the games even if he was first choice.

I like him as a player and think he would compliment the other forwards we have but for the money he's supposedly on, I think it would have been a big mistake bringing him looking long term

Ok Roy. All about opinions 🙂

I think Campbell is the starter, Cannon to come on as sub/play elsewhere.

When it looked like we were signing him it was why are we looking backwards, should be looking at better etc etc.

He signs for Hull, why we been out gunned by them, pathetic our owners 😂😂, brilliant fans some of our lot.

Seems rather odd that when Moore has been reported to have passed his Wrexham medical today we also announce the loan signing of Soumare. It screams out to me we have to sell before we can bring anyone in. Don't laugh too much at the piggies we might be the next with the begging buckets.
Yeah the clearance thing that's been going around is clearly bollocks, we just needed the money to land, to complete a loan with an obligation to buy.

Another poster already stated this so you are not alone in the dark vacuum of positivity you inhabit
