I don’t understand why McBurnie would want to come back to us, he openly admitted when he left us that he’d pretty much achieved all he can with us.

He seemingly enjoyed working with Wilder who’s no longer here. I’m not sure what he’d gain from a repeat experience

Now Moore off to Wrexham, that leaves Cannon and Campbell. One' is nowhere near Championship standard.

Looks like he's got the tools and confidence. I actually think One might have a big season (for us, or if we loan him out!).

I can't decide if I think we need a striker or not. Campbell, Cannon, One as central options, currently.

I remember when the Mousse scored a couple against Donnie in pre-season and suddenly he was going to fire us to promotion, according to many on here. But go ahead, pin your hopes on One who scored goals against York, Burton's reserves and Chessie. Give the lad a chance.

The same fans who like to big up the likes of Long, Jebbo, Ramsdale, Osula etc are the first to drag them down when they're inconsistent like most young inexperienced players.

Or posters on here thinking Giralamo, Osula, Jebbo all future superstars just like One.
I never remember Diego?! Heck, I thought Tony Battersby was going to strike us to success.

One might well make it but he needs regular games. Yes, Peck did well but that doesn't then mean every young player will. And he played regularly for us through circumstance. And as soon as One misses a few chances he'll be 'rubbish'.

Who was that? Certainly not me as I’ve never mentioned Giralama, as for Osula and Jebbo, both top young talents and will be interesting to see how they develop over the next couple of seasons.

As for One he’s constantly written off by people with their eyes painted on, always see someone saying he’s not good enough, even had one last season who was totally clueless on footballers who said One is only non league standard. Crackers as the lad is a player.

Moore was signed for at least a year too long. Getting him off the books and a younger model in is potentially great business. He'll be for the knacker's yard at the end of his contract. If we can make a significant profit and get a replacement (and maybe even the wage bill down) it's a no brainer.

The new owners wanted Mcburnie last summer so it's no surprise we're interested again. If the takeover would've gone through in time he'd still be a Blades player. I don't blame him for jumping after he waited around for so long.

My concern is mainly his injuries. Little niggles, in and out. It seems to have improved in Spain but it's not the Championship war is it?

I always thought that Managers wanted a player and the owners facilitated the move. If it’s moving towards the owners wanting players then that is a slippery slop towards the owners picking the team. Not a good idea

You're using the term manager, most clubs don't have that historic role in charge of everything, like Wilder, and instead have a head coach.
The aim is not to have to clear out most of the first team everytime you lose a manager because you have players brought in to play a particular way.
It makes it considerably cheaper and less risky.
