Why would we sell our most experienced remaining striker šŸ™ˆ, hopefully bollocks.
Because he’s in the last year of his contract… seems to be fine to sell others in their last year so don’t know why the club wouldn’t sell McB.

Would be madness to sell. He’s our only experienced striker. He had a good season last year and actually was decent in the prem for 1 out of the 2 seasons.

We need players in not more out! Especially up front.

He also hates Leeds

I don't know if you're joking so I'll bite. If we sold all the players in the last year of their contract, I'm not sure we'd have a team Harry. I can stomach Sander and Ndiaye, just, but not a blanket policy.

Assume you'd not be alright with that either.

Luckily they'll be playing out of their skin this year, as per the master plan.

You need a willing buyer in order to sell.

If we could swap him for someone you can rely on to be available all season I can see the temptation

We can't afford to have a poor fitness record this season, we can't be derailed by our Biscuit Men

McBurnie stands to be an important player and would be a bad one to be without. He is a risk, unfortunately

Any replacement should also be someone who'll get 15+ goals in the championship next season and be a decent target man in that league. Kaba who was at Cardiff might be another option

How come? Did something happen with them? I know he’s a Rangers fan but I’d have thought being from Leeds, growing up there and playing for their academy he would have Leeds as his English team, no doubt all his pals growing up would be Leeds I’d suspect

If we were bringing in 2 quality strikers then I wouldn't be adverse to Oli Mac going....and I am a fan of his....last year of his contract, injury prone..... £10m from a desperate Leeds....

They released him and it kicked off. Rocked up at Bradford, did some weird trial at Manchester United and settled in Swansea.

I’m not saying keep him or sell him, not getting into it but was just putting it out there that the club are willing to sell players in their last year so I’d wager that if a decent offer came in for him the club would sell him very quickly.

Didn’t McBurnie play for Bradford? They absolutely loathe Leeds. I agree with others here that selling one of our few experienced strikers (and one who can defend set pieces) is utter madness.

So on current form he’ll probably be gone by Thursday.

An accomplished Championship striker having just had a top scorer season in a promoted team.

Boro and Leeds in the market for a player of that profile. No doubt there will be others.

Last year of contract.

Ideally, we need an upgrade for the PL.

Makes loads of sense so probably no chance it happens. !!

Quite funny how against this Leeds fans are. He'd be one of your best players, considering the rest of them are all jumping ship for sweet fuck all.

Not sure they can afford him with their massive windfall of £4m from transfer fees mind.

would be crazy to sell him now although personally ive never rated him the only way i can see this happening is if hecky wants to bring 2 new strikers in and we need extra funds šŸ¤”

I was once told a few years back, by someone that knew him, that he would’ve ever go back to Leeds after being released as a kid.

Like I say, it was a few years back so could’ve changed his stance on them.
I have heard this as well.

Can't see us selling him, but if he goes we need two if not three strikers in. Not ideal to be in this situation of having so many players in last year of contract.

2+2 = sell.

I wouldn't be surprised if either board don't wish to renew McBurnie deal beyond this season or have offered new terms but he doesn't want to accept the offer ( theme here)

If that's the case then it seems the club will always look to sell.

I can see this happening.

Any player in the last year of their contract who has a poor injury record should be sold. Bogle and Jebbison also I wouldn't be arsed about losing.

If we can’t stand in the way of Berge or Ndiaye because ā€œwe can’t lose players for nothingā€ then the same would apply to Mcburnie. Same arguments apply to this situation as well if the fee is good then you can see the logic but the timing would be terrible and pull the rug out from under Hecky for the third time.

Well seeing as it’s just a baseless rumour from their forum that they’re singing a striker ā€œwho has played for Leeds beforeā€ you can’t see it happening.
