McBurnie & Ndiaye partnership

Both put a huge shift in. I don't think either had their best performance but compliment each other really well. Ndiaye is a nightmare with the ball at his feet and McBurnie is a handful. We need to keep them both fit. Somehow.
Mcburnie isn’t fit now

That will be the problem.

When he joined us we gave him a massive pay increase.
Let's be honest here. Has the transfer been a success?
If he scores the goals that get us back up then it will be time to reevaluate the question of whether he’s been a success or not.

How long is McB likely to be out after a hernia op? I've heard out till the new year after the Cardiff game. That's a fair few games he misses.😔
I recently had a hernia repair told me 6 weeks but I'm 67 not a super fit athlete

Again it's impossible to negotiate anyones contract when we've no idea what our income will be next season.

His agent will easily demand £50K a week, so we'd be facing points deductions and possible admin by overspending.
We could put in clauses that we'll pay him £10K a week whilst we're still in the Championship but he then wouldn't sign it.
Yea I suppose that's the catch 22 situation. We'd obviously (I think!) offer him a contract that says this would be your championship wage, this would be your prem wage. Then it's a question of if another team a) can beat that offer and b) actually want him for the money he may demand. Might be a good time to start testing the water because if he's unlikely to accept the offer we can afford (or are prepared to make), we would probably have to take out the option to extend his contract and listen to offers in the summer

Who can decipher these lyrics? It's to the rangers fashion Segala tune but I can't make them out properly.

I really would love to see a correlation between players in the last year of their contract and improvement in performance standards..

Seems to be too common to be a coincidence lol.

play mcburnie or jebbo up top on their own and play berge nidaye and mcatee behind em norwood and doyle as the 2 anchors and play 4 at the back im sure we would be better to watch than we are now

Jebbison is nowhere near good enough to be leading the line in a Championship team, he’s ideal to bring on for the last twenty minutes against a tiring defence. McBurnie seems to have lost the additional fitness he developed during the close season and Billy is looking his age.

Whether we go up or not, we desperately, desperately need to upgrade our attacking options.

I honestly believe if we’d had Ackpom and Archer, all season we’d be above Burnley

He has led the line in a championship team he scored the winner as well

Unfortunately the entire club is ingrained in 352, and while we do switch it up occasionally during the game our squad consists of wing backs (no full backs) and centre backs that struggle in a back 4.
I feel this limits us as an attacking threat when we really should take advantage of having a front 4 of McBurnie, Berge, Ndiaye and Mcatee.

Seriously, has anyone seen enough in Jebbison to suggest he is going to make the difference? I have no issue with the lad and I really hope he develops and becomes one of the greats but come on, he is not the answer is he? (and please, someone, refer me back to this post in a couple of years rime and I'll happily bake the humble pie as well as eat it.

I'd have agreed with you a few months ago but he was really good up until his sending off at Wrexham

If you can't see the lads potential then maybe football is not for you

you said he is nowhere near good enough to do what he has already done
I think you’re referring to an FA Cup tie, when he wasn’t playing as a lone striker anyway, which was the role being suggested for him.

He may become a superb goal scorer in a couple of years, but I think that ‘currently’ he is a long way off, what a top championship team needs as their main striker.

But it’s ok if you disagree 😉
