McBurnie and Jebbo future

I suspect they are struggling to get a new deal sorted with Jebbo? it's all gone quiet again on that front.

If Jebbo does not sign a new contract, we are still entitled to a fee from his next club, as he is U23 and we developed him. But could we also be entitled to a sell on fee, if his next club eventually sell him ?

Depends on the outcome of the valuation meeting who in theory take all of his training etc.etc. into account before awarding a deal in favour of the bigger club.

No way will Mcburnie be worth the wages he'll want, he'll play about half the games and be affective in around a quarter of them on top wages for that league.

I would doubt that ever happens in this sort of case.

Based on how he is playing this season and last, and his goals return.
If he can play 30-35 games he would probably scored 15-20 goals for us next season again in champ.

For me McBurnie makes a whole lot of sense even if he isn't playing 46 games a season for us. As long as it's 2/3rds or more he's worth it still for us.

Jebbison genuinely haven't seen enough to make a call. The coaches seem to rate him highly. He did well at Burton in L1.
He's obv. had a bad illness by sounds of it which has completely hindered this season for him.

We need to make signings that genuinely renew the squad. I would be ok with a reasonable contract for McBurnie, just by himself, he is a far better player with experience and we will be short on strikers once the season is over. But if we do keep him, we would have potentially another couple of years with two injury plagued strikers in Brewster and McBurnie taking up good wages and just continuing to hinder any rebuild. Sometimes you just need to move on, same with Baldock, who I think in many ways is our best player.

McBurnie been very vocal on Instagram - referred to Osborne leaving as him "finding a solution to a horrendous situation"
Don't think he's best pleased

I couldn't give a flying fuck , not happy with his daft sending offs and suspensions ,plus drink driving, brawling in street with fellow chavs.....if he not happy then fuck off and take that waste of space Jebbo with him.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. Semi decent footballer 30% of the time. Full time chav.

They’ve been teammates for the last 5 years and by all accounts are good mates. Not sure what he was meant to say? Osborn had his contract pulled at the eleventh hour after he’d been publicly told he would be retained and was then in a position of having to find a new club when he thought his immediate future was secure.

Like him or not, Osborn had done nothing to deserve that treatment from the club, I was pretty disgusted with it. McBurnie was right to call it out, it was a pretty horrendous situation to be in for a guy who, stag weekend apart, had not given the club any problems in the time he’d been here. I hope Ozzy’s move goes well and for what it’s worth, I really hope McBurnie stays, although it’s looking increasingly unlikely.

I think the post is more in reference to Ben move to Derby and the fact that his dad died a few months ago

Nah the way he said "another good guy bites the dust" and "finding a solution" to a horrendous situation by signing a contract with a new club

Thats definitely about being left in limbo and without a club... not the unfortunate passing of his dad.

Ah okay, I didn’t take it like that, but thats probably fair

I'd like McBurnie back, if we can strike a deal.

We're lacking leaders currently. Egan, Bash, Sharp, Norwood, Baldock. That's a lot to lose, all in a short space of time.

Not entirely sure he is a leader but he does seem to have matured a lot over the last year or two.
