McBurnie - Accused of stomping on a Forest fan

And too thick to realise that even the edited clip shows he was reacting to one of his team mates being got at by a Forest prick.
You actually see him lift his inured left leg and hop out of the way.

The EFL will do nothing and he hasn't done anything wrong

It's funny how certain players seem to be constantly in this kind of situation while other never ever seem to be. Must be bad luck.
Has brewster got form for aggro? And ignoring And walking away might work if your a big fella wearing gandhis flip-flops you might find you handle things differently when you've got a hundred plus drunk and drugged up men coming at you for every direction 👍

Sharp had already been attacked next target young injured Brewster. No way with a foot with broken bones and ligaments in it torn, long term injury lasting through training camp would anyone stomp on someone .He was lucky he didn't lose his balance and fall over injuring it further. No punches thrown in that video by him. Doing what a man should protecting a young mate surrounded by a mob who are on the pitch illegally.

I don't know about you, but I'd have been straight down the tunnel when the Forest fans came on the pitch. Why on earth would you hang about and wait to get some shit, because any ground int eh country and you'd get shit. Including ours.
Because he’s club captain you expect him to skulk off down the tunnel ?

Team mentality. Our players were still out there, never leave a man behind

Having seen the video, it’s not exactly Jimmy Conway and Tommy DeVito shoeing Billy Batts in GoodFellas. ‘Oli McBurnie now starring in BadPlayer. Not scoring in a ground near you soon’.

This whole thing is a right mess.

It doesn't condone McBurnie's response at all, but they're surrounded by Forest fans goading them and ragging them about. I guess they can only be pushed so far before they retaliate. I don't know why the squad weren't off the pitch immediately, and it wasn't stewarded well, at all - not that it's easy to stop the capacity of a stadium from spilling onto the pitch...

What response? Watch the video and ignore the sensationalist headline.

Enough with the pathetic war analogies Boris.
You may not agree but that’s what this group of players do. There are numerous examples of them standing up for each other through the season, celebrating together. Boro home with Billy, Ndiaye away at Birmingham, robbo first leg v Forest, Hecky last night.

As Hecky said after when asked about MGW missing, we win together and lose together, the mentality in the squad is not just a about a penalty miss it’s about everyone playing their part during the season.

So when your team mates are stuck out on the pitch surrounded by thousands of forest, MGW still out there, Billy laid out, it’s not about skulking off down the tunnel for these lads.

I didn't agree to you comparing it to a fucking war where people die. That's it.

Nice to know you'd be leaving Wes and MGW hanging out to dry on their own.

Absolutely spot-on pommpey
McBurnie Has in the past not covered himself in glory, perhaps that has contributed to him being a target for this newfangled craze of fans abusing/inciting opposition players to get something on TikTok or whatever platform they use, having cut and edited it to suit of course
As you say, context is everything
. Same with Robinson
What do you expect a human being to do when confronted and unprotected as our players were last night
This video, or part of video, it’s just deflection
The responsibility it’s fair and square on the forest fans who went on the pitch and did what they did
The responsibility is fair and square on the forest club, For not taking adequate steps to protect our players in the place of work, they have to take responsibility And not deflect.
Vicarious liability is also fair and square on Simon Jordan, And any other journalist/media outlets who for their own financial benefit seek to dissipate any of that responsibility
And certainly their responsibility for pointing the finger at our players….
Let’s not forget, no matter the footballing attributes, or even personal attributes, our players are first and foremost human beings
Human beings act the way they do when faced with danger, and as you will know all about pommpey, when they are faced with traumatic incidents, which is what last night being on the pitch as a Sheffield United player was all about.
So I say to those forest fans abusing/threatening our players, their club, and all the journalist leeches spinning crap, take responsibility and stop pointing the finger and making things worse for those who are the injured parties here
Think about what you are doing and what impact it has on others for a change

sky sports piece includes this line
It is not clear whether the kick connected with the fan or not.

clear the court
Typical journos a stamp has now become a kick . Definition of a kick " To strike or propel forcibly with the foot."

From the deliberately edited video where has that action occurred? There is no visible evidence to suggest it has other than a verbal statement that could have possibly been added into the video later. Unfortunately as usual the powers that be, the FA in this case and the media, pick up on orchestrated agendas and blow them out of proportion to suit their narrative.

For me this is symptomatic of why antisocial behaviour is on the increase, if you behave like a prick and get banged out then that is the risk you take. There is too much condemnation for people standing up for themselves. I am a McBurnie critic really but in this case what is he supposed to do.

If on a pitch invasion the police steamed in with batons and cracked some heads it would happen a lot less often, if they did though the press would be all over it reporting police brutality. Problem is there is no punishment for them really, get fined don't pay it, get banned for life just get someone else to buy tickets for you. A good hiding at the point of the offence is something they would fear.

Well sir, that would be a very cowardly act, and to run away while friends and colleagues are at risk, about as low as it gets.

As an aside, whilst his career is destined to go on to bigger and better things, that's the one bit you have to admire about MGW. He has fully and whole heartedly committed to everything here - he gets it, he understands the squad mentality. He's been an absolute joy to have around the place.
