Mcatee hate

No hatred at all.
You're over-reacting.
This was NEVER a game to start him.
Should have been Doyle.
That stupid decision was Hecky's.
Hecky knew what to expect from Luton but picked the wrong midfielder.
Agreed

Given young uns are addicted to social media he'll probably read this. There's no hate. He had a bad night. Nothing more.
It's all part of the learning process. He's an asset i'm glad we have. We move on. He moves on.
If you have no sexual partner to lay besides tonight i guess it''ll play on your mind a while.
I only have a cat but i'll get through somehow.

Where is the word hatred used?

I've not seen or heard anything even resembling hatred

Most fans know he was ineffective due to the type of game it was.

And knowing what sort of game it was likely to be before we even kicked off, you have to wonder why he was chosen to start.

He is probably only going to shine for us in the home games where we might have control of the game

Our lack of control and calmness in away games when we are constantly pressed, harried, knocked about and kicked is not the environment for him. He isn't big enough, strong enough or experienced enough for that.

He looked visibly gutted, really felt for the lad as nothing worked for him tonight. Think it was the nutmeg that really got to him in the end. Just one of those games kiddo.

Star in the making this kid and there’s gonna be games he tears teams apart!

You can always take yourself in hand .

Probably needed this game to realise how much of a step up it is. He’s clearly a very good player, you don’t tear it up every year for U23s & be touted by City as one of the stars of the future for no reason.

My concern for him is that he doesn’t look fit enough for Championship football yet, when he dragged his marker down & received the yellow that was purely down to frustration.

He needs to put this one behind him & let it be the making of him. If I was Pep I’d be calling him tonight offering him a bit of a ‘pep talk’ 😉

I think it was the perfect game for him. This is football kid. This is how you learn. Good decision to 'blood' him but a better to call to bring him off after his obvious frustration. Now Hecky knows more about where he is.

He's been sent to us by Man City to develop into the player they think he is. He is 19 years old and still growing. We saw against Sunderland what he has to offer when things are going well for him and we will see a lot more like that in the rest of the season.
The thing with him still developing is that he is going to have some off days where things just don't work out for him. Last night was one of those nights.
The game seemed to pass him by and he never appeared up to speed. His passing was totally off and he had little to no effect on the game.
I think that is fair criticism of him. Hopefully he will use this kind of experience to grow and improve himself. I'm sure he will. You could see in the second half when he was sat in the stand/dugout that he was clearly pissed off with how his game had gone. He will want to put that right as soon as possible and with the apparent injury to Fleck, will have ample opportunity to battle for a place to show what he can do.

I was sleeping next to a nice pussy last night too ........... wouldn't let me stroke it though :(

Last night will do him the world of good.

It was one of those nights where everything he tried went wrong.
However to give some context, Berge is one of our best and most loved players and he was nearly as bad.
Berge must be close to 6 ft 5 and has loads of bulk but even he couldn't handle Luton's tempo and physicality.

Man City fans who have seen plenty of him say he's far more talented and more skilful than Doyle.
Well Doyle, showed some nice touches last night, in some ways looks better than Fleck, so we know McAtee still has loads to offer this season.

It's only HALF a game, he had a shocker, shit happens and you dust yourself down, get back up and move on to the next game.

Hecky spoke about it after.
He knows he's a young talented lad thrown into championship physicality.
It was a trial by fire. Hecky knows it and Mcatee will.
Nothing to whittle about by anybody, about anybody.

Berge being dumped in the stand by well known clogger, Luke freezy Freeman, was not his greatest moment in football.

McAtee's sucess in football will be determined by his character, not his ability. How he reacts to nights like last night is going to be crucial for him personally
