Much more promising from him tonight. Hard to judge against 10 men and still thought he was weak 1v1 a few times and let in some easy crosses but looked a far more capable wingback than he has done in the past
I mean that sort of stat has the potential to be very misleading, if he's in the position to make more tackles per 90 because opposition teams figure him out as the weak link in the back five and filter the attacks down that side all the time, it's not a good look
Bang average this lad.
If we move him on this summer I won't shed a tear.
Well put, and I agree we need players with heart and desire, as we will be up against some excellent footballers next season. He's OK...at best average Championship standard
however my concern is more about attitude...he seems to jog around just happy to do enough.
Thought the Man City 2nd goal summed up Lowe.
We have plenty of players upfield, Lowe has the ball in the centre circle and makes a bad pass to Mahrez.
Fair enough, everyone makes mistakes.....however the test of character is....what do you do when you've made a bad error?
Mahrez broke forward with the ball and Lowe could see it was a break away attack 2 Man City forwards against 2 Sheff Utd defenders.
Mahrez runs with the ball from the halfway line to the edge of our box.
Lowe is running just behind him and for some reason....is almost jogging and makes no real attempt to catch him up and make a challenge.
Surely he should have been thinking about committing a professional foul, just bring Mahrez down from behind, taking a yellow card.
But there was no challenge and with our defenders backing off expecting a pass, Mahrez went clean through and scored an easy goal.
Maybe I'm like alot of Blades, we can accept a lack of quality and odd mistakes as long as you're prepared to give 100% and run thru brick walls.
Lowe and Bogle (altho think Bogle has loads of potential going forward) could learn so much from the tenacity and effort shown by Baldock.
Even Robinson is quite average most of the time but he shows he has massive character and will to win.
If we're going to be involved in a relegation battle next season...we'll need a team of players you'd want in the trenches with you.
Lowe was underwhelming for us last season, then start of this season actually played well but last few months he's gone back to being underwhelming again.
