Goal seemed to settle him maybe he’s a bit of a confidence player. If so scoring in front of the kop is a sure fire way of feeling at home.
I’ve had to defend him a few times saying exactly this. Bottomed out first half on Sunday I think. Great since. Carried on where he left off second half vs Boro.

I think he looked a little flustered early up against Gooch tonight but settled and after that I didn’t really notice him defensively which is a good thing really. After the goal though he was looking to take players on dropping in and out of pockets of space on the left and looking very much capable of contributing in an attacking sense. If he grows into that spot then it solves a real problem for us. Also RND very solid at LCB.

Was all across the backline at times, covering runners and breaking up their patterns. Looked much more confident. Hopefully the goal boosts him even further.

I think he had his head turned by the scabs thinking they would buy him, but has finally realised his future is here and will now get his head down, my florist mate kept saying what a good player he is at this level

Didn't think he was exceptional tonight but looked good. Glad he got a goal too.
Hopefully he can kick on.

Big improvement, hope he’s consistent as the first gayme he played back with us was very worrying. Scab player with Sheffield mindset could work hopefully.

Much more promising from him tonight. Hard to judge against 10 men and still thought he was weak 1v1 a few times and let in some easy crosses but looked a far more capable wingback than he has done in the past

RND was as solid as a dream topping got away with it on a number of occasions

Yeah decent tonight, never got behind him, got forward well and bagged a goal, well done, as he was dire first half v Boro and previous to that..hope he keeps improving.

Thought his defending was awful prior to the sending off and the RND combination is …NGE….left hand side is a problem and will cost us (might have done today 11 v 11)

Don’t rate either of them…

Once he has Clarke behind him I think he will look much more comfortable.

was really disappointed with him at watford
but he's knuckled down and looks up for the task.... amazing how belief and desire can improve a player

Tbf to the lad, I thought every bugger was poor at Watford. We always start sluggish. It wasn't just Lowe. He like most of our players need game time to get up to speed and find form. This is his big chance to nail down that left wing back spot. The goal will have helped his confidence and probably gave him his best feeling so far in a Blades shirt. He will soon be thinking Forest are scabby bastards like the rest of us do.

I don’t very often defend professional footballers, but i really hope the great and generally fair United supporters will cut Max Lowe a bit of a slack.I think we have the makings of a really good modern day LWB who will eventually become a top player and we should encourage rather than destroy a young talent.I think he has great ability and will eventually win over the doubters, but if at the end of this season i am wrong feel free to remind me that i don’t know what i am talking about….but remember patience is a virtue !!

Lowe was continually finding huge spaces on the left touchline - all we had to do was dink a little ball over their high defensive line or play a ground pass in behind their fullback for him to run onto + Lowe would have been free & clear ... But we failed to do this.
We seem to have forgotten this method of turning defenders round to face their own goal - these sorts of balls favour the onrushing wingbacks + frighten defenders + create chances.
We seem to prefer playing passes in front of their defensive line , which gets us nowhere because the recipient has to then control it + then beat the defender.
Anyway , well played Lowe ... You need to have a word with your midfielders to play balls for you to run onto.
