So playing with no fans is a factor despite us beating Wolves, Tottenham and Chelsea, but the fact we had little to play for post Leicester isn’t given any relevance? You can analyse this is many ways. Post lockdown were the 13th best side in the league. That was with no fans and it seemingly is looking that way.
We had a man sent off against Newcastle and a goal disallowed against Villa and despite all that we were the 13th best you say? So that would leave us comfortably safe next season?
We’re also being linked with many players but those presumably do not count? Some of those teams outperformed us post lockdown. Anchelotti being in and spending on players like James Rodriguez (the rumour) you would expect them to push forward
AV are in for everyone one of our players it seems.
For us to go down we need those teams listed plus those promoted to improve significantly
and they’ve signed no one, so you are obviously expecting our performances to drop off a cliff?
Im merely asking where the logic lies behind this.
We had injuries to two very key players during lockdown, (plus one of the main replacement for one of those) and yet managed to average 13th place according to your own stats? We get one injury to a key player we can drop quickly as we don’t have the squad to not massively reduce quality.
Again, I’m just trying to follow the logic in your opinion.
Isn’t that pretty much standard in preseason? We played a youngster CM at RWB in our first friendly. That shows you everything abkut our squad depth.
