Wilder best have an ace up his sleeve if this is true and we’ve let Freeman go there. IMO this lad is the real deal and gutted if we don’t get them. If we can’t secure Cash then I worry about the standard we will be able to secure.

Least there isn’t a whole load of completion for Burke, so we should be able to seal it.
 
If we miss out on this because we haven’t been able to agree a fee with Forest, fuck loaning them Luke Freeman. I’m sure there were others keen on him who could offer him just as many minutes as well as the promise of also pissing about in and around the playoff positions for the whole season before missing out.

I don’t wish to be too pessimistic but it feels like in this window in particular we need to improve the squad by signing players no one else in the division is after...

Think that's the hard part, any player we show an interest in is swiftly followed by Dean Smith and co.

I said similar in shout box. We're asking an awful lot of Wilder to keep pulling rabbits out of hats. He has such a tricky task relative to Parker & Smith, who can just throw money at things.
 
So we've offered £10m and Freeman on loan.
Those scruffy brummie twats offer £12m late on and they look like getting him.

No one is after than.until we are then their agents tout them around for more money and in step villa and Fulham
 
It doesn't matter of we offered the same money to forest. Villa will be offering him 40k a week and a mega bonus for staying up next season. We can't compete with the money them Fulham and a few other side's around us can offer. If it's money he wants he's better off going somewhere else I'd rather us sign people who want to play for us and improve
 
If this is true then we deserve all we get really if we really wanted him that much it would have been done way before now.

and no Freeman sweetener

Striking whilst the iron was hot - I read that No one thought he was going to go in jan and Napoli were supposed to be in for him in the summer. We managed to pull that deal off.

Seems a shame we don’t seem to have been as decisive this time round letting others get involved and muddy the waters.
