I tend to agree, we all feel like we need those 2/3 players in key positions, however, as always at this time I look at the opposition and ask yes we need those extra players but are we,as it stands one of the teams to win the league/promotion with our current squad compared to everyone else, who is the main opposition this year? Has anybody else set the world on fire with tgere acquisitions?

The teams previously that showed real Intent and you knew they meant business in a planned strategy to achieve promotion was Charlton ,Wolves , Bristol City and Wigan .

Others were in the hopeful category MKD , S6 , Burton . Huddersfield

We sit in the hopeful box of tricks at the moment , which can soon change .

But who do you see being in front of us at the moment

This season is a funny one , and if we get it right with the squad , then we have a great chance of automatic promotion. I just see us in the mix of 12 teams who could hit automatic including the teams that hot promoted and teams that git relegated.

There is not one outstanding team , but a boat load of much as a muchness IMO .

I do fancy Bristol Rovers and Charlton to be in the running .

The difference between us being hopeful, way off, or front runners is a bit of bite in midfield. Get that, and we'll be take very seriously and will rarely be bullied.

Why do people insist that Done is out of position when he plays on the left?...
He's virtually played all his career there, apart from when Rochdale moved him up top.

Because before Rochdale moved him up front, he wasn't very good.
Kevin Phillips started as a right back but strangely, once he'd shown his goal scoring ability as a striker no one ever thought to play him at right back again.

I would like to see him play off Clarke, that would mean Sharp having to give way, maybe give it a go in a nothing match like the Crewe cup game.

Done scored a lot of goals lurking around Vincenti's ankles when he was at Rochdale.
