Not a rumour, but is he really injured?
Could he be on his bike?
As previously stated if we get our money back and replace him with a better quality sammon type player I would welcome it.

He is a good finisher and unfortunately we don't have many goalscorers in the side. We have to remember this is only his 2nd year as a striker and he doesn't make the runs, his touch is often off.. however he works and at this time we can't afford to lose workers because we don't have the talent to compensate.

Can't see a Championship club coming in for him and I doubt any League One club would match his wages or pay near the fee we paid.

So no chance he'll be going, but you can never say never in football.

There was a Wigan rumour in summer wasn't there? A tad suspicious to say the least.

Sheffield United have accepted a transfer offer of 2.5 million from Blackburn Rovers for striker Matt Done

Ha ha, this must go down as one of the worst rumours I've ever heard! This website has provided so much bull this week! Maybe there's interest in Done though, I can see that and it wouldn't surprise me if Done left.

is it definitely the same Twitter account? Easy to hijack one by stealing the avatar and adding a number or letter to the end of the name

I genuinely laughed out loud at that.

2.5 million. Fantastic.

Ah, but he does make runs. Unfortunately, our idea of 'service' is hoofing a ball to anywhere near 40 yards of him and expecting him to do anything with it.

It's farcical, but the only rumour of the day. Onto Monday now and its just resembling the summer one here. Can't wait for it to end to be honest, and then the loan window opens! Yey!?

On the Bradford forum it says they have inquired about him. One "ITK" on their forum say we have yet to respond to their initial testing of the water

Don't rate him too highly, but I don't want to see him go there. I'm also certain Wilder can get more out of him.

Have they enquired about him , because we have enquired about Hanson. Could be down to Wilder and needs must this one.

Good point that. Could be a swap of some sort in the pipeline. I'd like to give him another go to be honest. Last season he was mostly played in positions that he has always been average in

I think we are almost certain to lose one from our forward line especially if a target man comes in. Not sure that I would like that to be Done, he presses defenders like no other player we have and seems to be able score off a variety of body parts.

Done is very good at putting the ball in the back of the net, even from difficult situations. That means he can get a goal from nowhere which is obviously very beneficial to us. We need a target man, but I'm not sure I want that man to be James Hanson

The major piece in this jigsaw to me is in fact McNulty . If Wilder feels he is the man from a goal ratio per game and more consistent , then a big target man will be required to assist either Billy or back up McNulty .

Done could be the odd man out and the one perhaps least missed .

The system we will play up front is not the Leicester way but like them 2 up front for France . Big lad , Small lad.

Done or DCL can both perhaps help in the rebuild by moving on with damage limitation to the squad quality being minimal . Know it's all about opinions , but it's also about balancing the books in league 1.

I thought Wilder liked a 4-2-3-1 system but obviously that will change regarding the players he has. If we are thinking of playing three forward players behind a striker then I can see Done working in that set up.

Let's not forget that Done didn't have a pre-season last time either. Could make a huge difference, The more I think about the more I would like him to stay

Personally would rather keep Done and get rid of McNulty if we have to lose someone.
Just not convinced by McNulty.
Done. Good finisher, Pace, Works hard.
McNulty. Not a bad finisher.

cant see us losing done or mcnulty wilder seems to have faith in both of them

McNulty is a very good finisher. Just a tosser.

Personally on what I have seen I would say Done is the better finisher.
I was going to put next to McNulty that there is also a risk of him doing something stupid off the pitch.

The pairing of Done and McNulty looks to be a good one. Adkins should have used it last season to change things around when Billy wasn't firing - but the Tosser sent our most natural finisher out on loan.

Still not convinced about Adams as a central striker. He's better coming in from wide or from deep. Not good with his back to goal. So is expect a big lad to partner Biilly to come in - who could also be a foil for either Done or McNuts and have a plan B with Done and McNuts as a pairing - because of their movement and interplay.

As for McNuts off field antics - well, Wilder did state that "We're not Fannying about" so he will deffo sort that one out. Not lose the lads character but reign him in. If you've followed McNuts on Twitter you'll notice that he is selling weekend glamping tix for TPiTP. That's a sign Wilder is sorting him out.

Wilder said in an interview that he would definitely sign players to fit the system, i.e. not change the system to fit the players available.

Which formation(s) was used yesterday?
