It blocks development of Sachdev & Curtis, who might never be good enough, but ideally we could do with finding out because in 12 months we could be without a first choice right back.On a free transfer don’t see too much of a problem with this one as a squad player. He can cover CB and RB which is exactly what we need, definitely not first name on the team sheet but over a long season rotation will need to happen at some points and his first interview he is wanting to win 10 games out of the first 13/14 top stuff!
Wilders spent the last 4 months banging on about how critical preseason is to players fitness (because you can only become fit during a 6 week spell in July & August).Cutting it fine????…… still 6 weeks to go.
Culture carrier how far can he carry the ball lol !!!.
He could be 5 years younger ,not mentioned in same breath as walker !!!.Two years younger than Walker
United becoming Dad's Army again?
Every signing of every possible age of player blocks development for youth players. Actually one of the more rational complaints on the thread though...It blocks development of Sachdev & Curtis, who might never be good enough, but ideally we could do with finding out because in 12 months we could be without a first choice right back.
Masterful gambit sir wilder.
Objectively he can cover Seriki ar right back and also centre back; one fewer signing needed.Another hilarious meltdown from our fanbase, before the guy has even kicked a ball for us.
Let's see what happens and before anyone calls me out, I will happily eat humble pie if he flops.
I'd have preferred Ken Doherty! What a truly fucking pointless deal.
2006 was a very different place for football than 2026.Great signing. Top footballer, good experience for the squad, can deliver an excellent cross and will help Seriki develop.
Anyone complaining about this need to step away from the their anti Wilder bias and just acknowledge it’s a good signing.
Do people not remember the signings of David Unsworth and Neil Shipperly? Both well into their 30’s, probably a little out of shape!…but they were the last pieces in the jigsaw that took us up in 2006. Unsworth ran many games from left back with his passing range and was outstanding all season. Shipperly bagged 10-15 goals as well.
Who?For cover? Someone on the up who will be cheaper
Undoubtedly. Walker is also a far better player given all that and I wouldn’t be all that on board with him signing eitherTwo years younger than Walker
