Remarkably, for a player aged 28, Derbyshire has made just 76 starting appearances throughout his entire career.
Decent signing but as above plenty more options of similar/better ability out there for usNot sure we were even interested, a lot better options out there
He always struck me as decent, but then I read that stat too and was amazed! Need to check but is that his entire career, including in Greece?Apparently they beat us to his signature (Sheffield Telegraph). This bit makes me think we dodged a bullet:
Heard that he may be joining us after all!!
UTB
I would hope not. I remember this kid breaking onto the scene and looking a right prospect. Didn't he disappear abroad for a while ?. Has come back and looks a pale shadow of the player he was. Everytime I see highlights of him for Rotherham, always seems to be missing a scoring chance.
Went to Olympiacos for a bit. Scored two goals in the Greek cup final. Been on a downward trajectory since though. Olympiacos, Birmingham (when they were still PL), Forest, Millers. Maybe he's about to drop again. Hasn't scored in his last 25 games, not exactly thrilling stats.
This stat isn't actually true according to Soccerbase.
He scored for Forest in the last game of last season (actually scored 5 in the last 5 games).
Then he's gone 13 league games without scoring but only started 7 of them. Scored one in the League Cup as a sub.
Definitely not "thrilling" stats but not quite as bad as none in 25 games![]()
And 2 million this JanuaryAlways flattered to deceive in my book. No pedigree and always had unfulfilled potential. Perhaps the sort of player we would have paid a million quid for 5 years ago!!
What about a swap deal for Porter?
