welcome zablade . a few of us have moved over. forget abart BM its absolutely useless. all we need nah is to get all the members to move over but i cant log on to post a message.:D pathetic

As long as that all doesn't include Curtis, Paddys, Beighton, and Len.

but then I am bias as I am, unjustly in my opinion, banned on BM.

Sorry to spoil the mood but the 2 games I cannot get out of my head are the 3-2 home defeat against Oldham (the most significant league result since the prem IMO) and the 3-2 home defeat v Hartlepool last Boxing day that set us up for the worst calendar year I can remember - 2013.

If we lose 3-2 today then blame me.

The Hartlepool match wasn't on Boxing Day it was the Saturday beween Christmas and New Year (29th).

I remember it well because after a particularly shit performance from Kevin McDonald that day, guess who was the first person I clapped eyes on (stood quaffing merrily with pint in hand) later that evening when I walked into the Joseph Bramah's in Barnsley?

Indeed welcome Zablade and others new to this site and let me introduce to the footballing gods who have a hotline here and weren't very happy to see all this positivity and decided to teach you an early lesson. Quote from old Football Zeus himself " two draws and two points in your last two 6 pointers against relegation rivals-----not looking so clever now is it?"

Not getting the 3 points today is a huge disappointment, in 3 days time we need to make sure we do the job and get the win we need.
NC now on P&G, 1st half rubbish.

That will teach you to get all positive lads, back to earth with a bump eh ? Not good enough by a long way we need to be winning these sort of games draws are not good enough where we are. It might be OK to get draws away from home but we need wins from somewhere. At the end of the day we have no attacking threat lets hope we can get some strikers in in a few days time, strikers who know where the goal is because at the moment the present bunch don't have a clue.

Having tried hard of late to avoid singling out Porter, I'm afraid today's effort was extra special, even by his own "exceptional" standards.

It merits a "just wow" score, as minus numbers out of 10 don't exist.

Team selection and formation cost us two points today, Baxter has to start obviously as he is the only one looking like scoring or creating, but he has to play behind the striker. Today playing two strikers in front of Baxter meant we had three in centre midfield and it was all too narrow as our full backs never got forward, especially in the first half

4 - 4 - 1 - 1. Is the best formation with our current players, unfortunately that means Porter up front on his own, until we sign a replacement for him in January.

Question is who can we get to play that role upfront? Those Strikers who can lead the line, hold the ball up AND score goals aren't ten a penny, especially at our level, I remember the pigs crying out for a similar player this time last season and all they could rustle up was Steve Howard. Porter needs to go, but whether we go with the loan striker option is a different question.
