And he has played barely a handful of games so slightly harsh to say he has failed at anything yet.

well, he's failed to settle so far. I'm not one of those people writing him off. And yes, he's played in defence for Southend but he's main position is CM. As I said, we'll see.

Mixed start as a poor effort just now from Evans sails over from a decent opportunity. Best chance so far was from a Stevens cross that Sharp slid in near post but couldn’t get to, the ball going through to Clarke for a tap-in but he somehow headed it wide. Fleck having a decent game so far.

Their keeper is keeping the ball for 12-15 seconds every time he gets it. Yet no free kick, no talking and no booking. Amazing.

Blackman’s had to make a couple of excellent saves to keep us in this. Have to say we’ve looked poorer following the changes, and made a lot of poor decisions in the opposition half.

Not normally one to be too critical of referees, but with that cunt I'll happily make an exception. Bought every Forest dive, ignored every time one of them tried to delay the game and the final turd in the soup was giving Fleck a yellow for an excellent tackle near the end.

That said, a laboured performance, happy with a draw on the balance of play. This break comes at the perfect time, get some rest and get ready for the final few games.

Thought ref was good at points, poor at others.... and weird sometimes. The amount of freekicks taken ten yards from the foul with the ball moving was just odd.

And I initially agreed with you re. Fleck, but not one United player contested the foul so perhaps he took the man before the ball after all.

Not the greatest conditions but we were well off the game today. Too many basic errors. That move at the end when we had two completely open on the right and Brooks put it out for a goal kick summed up the game for me. Brooks didn’t play well at all and gifted at least two breakaways.
Didn’t take that chance in the first half and paid the price really.
Forest played well I thought. They won a lot of second balls and would have won it if Blackman hadn’t been on top form.
Never seen him get that bright yella kit so dirty in fact.
And what the heck has happened to Leon’s shooting boots?

Brooks seemed to kickstart most of forests attacks. He needs to show more nous whenever on the ball and stop falling over. He's getting over a serious illness however so that gives him some slack, but if he ain't atit, he shouldn't play.

Showboats? Really?

Yes been doing it so much it's been really noticeable last 2 games, soft shots where he could take an extra step and get his body behind the ball with the dive, instead he dives dramatically and pushes the ball out at full stretch. Annoying.

Thats comfortably coldest game ive been to at times felt like playing in Norwegian arctic circle & that famous tromso game. Id Had socks & thermal socks on. Toes still frozen before HT. If it is ever colder than that. Im staying at home

But on the match its almost dejavu a number of times. We got our self in alot threatening situations but when it mattered we were shocking. But as i said like in many games this we've yet again struggled to take our chances so many times this season, been punished we should won or won by more. Dreadful passing & decision making in final 1/3rd. Too many pointless shots from 30yds. How did Clarke missed from where he was harder to miss. I dont think ive seen brooks had as bad a game as he had to today. Couldnt do anything right, but i could cut him slack as youngsters are inconsistent

Blackman is a must to buy in summer. To have 2 no1s. Easiest man of match decision since hull in november Pull of 3 brilliant absolutely vital saves which shouldn't have mattered Should have been 2-0 up. Otherwise Forest despite not really showing much couldve easily on doing opposite to us capitalising on their chances
