Apologies, I’ve been doing it all season, so have stopped providing an explanation.

The table looks at the results in the equivalent matches last season (eg Reading away), regardless of when they were played, and uses colours to show whether the individual result and cumulative points are worse, the same or better. We have currently won 19 more points than we did in the equivalent matches last year, putting us on track for 94 points if we can equal last season’s results in the remaining matches. Therein lies the rub - last year we won 8 and drew the other 3 of the equivalent 11 matches that remain (they weren’t the final 11 games last year, they occurred throughout the season) and that is unlikely to be repeated.
