Many football agents are scum

So many clubs and agents are fucking greedy and useless.

So many players will be wasting 5 months of their careers because for some stupid reason their clubs won't loan them out or their agents block any moves. What the fuck are Watford and Jerome Sinclair's agent playing at for example?

When the deadline comes surely it's time to stop being petty about wage contributions and whatever else and let your players go out on loan? But they remain stubborn, and it's totally nonsensical for all involved. Save a bit of money or save no money? Get your player professional experience or let him carry on playing U23s football?

I can only imagine the sort of shit we've had to put up with. But I suppose it's the same for everyone.

It's fucking rotten.

I wish more players would get help from the PFA rather than use greedy football agents

Not usually one for praising Gary Neville but he said the exact same thing in an interview a few years ago.
It says it all that even a former top player sees them as parasites.

If a player is that weak minded that he lets his agent decide who he should play for then I don't want them anywhere near our club.

Wilder has probably not had to deal with these kind of agents before given his previous experiences in lower league football but it's no doubt been a learning experience for him now we're back in the top half of the football league ladder. Comes with the territory unfortunately

Those pesky agents!

We are in an era where young players, who have zero business experience and are often not well educated, can be set for life if they negotiate well and make the right move. They should be allowed to be represented by whomever they please.

United have been whining about agents for years. Perhaps they should get better people to negotiate with agents rather than whining.

Sinclair in particular, after a shit loan at Birmingham last season and now in his 20s, surely feels totally cheated tonight. I imagine the agent feeding him all sorts of shit but at the end of the day he's now stuck in the U23s with no chance of playing real football until at least January when he could have been turning out in front of 30,000 next Saturday.

I think most of us can agree that agents cream a frightening amount of money out of the game that shouldn't be necessary, and have undoubtedly given some of our players in particular some bum career advice.

However the players employ these agents for their own gain and have the option yo ditch them, even if it's at a cost.

As a club we spend an awful lot of time blaming agents for many things most years. They're here to stay and dealing with them is a necessity.

What's wrong with using PFA agents? They dont really interfere as much as the bad ones!

Yes, it's the same for every other club, but it constantly becomes a problem whenever Sheffield United are involved.
I think maybe our club has done so much fucking about and whining about every last penny that maybe agents hate dealing with us.

Then again, you accusing anybody of whining sort of puts you on shaky ground....

You disagree with Wilder then?

That's more or less how United were founded (without the agents bit)

And there are lots of players who say that. Even players who didn't earn millions and who are now regretting handing 100's of thousands away to agents that should have come their way instead.
Any players parents would take a keen interest I'm sure. And if it were me I wouldn't want some person who doesn't know him and who has no interest in my lads future or past dealing with any of his business.
