So…..if we had Barry and Solomon as pacey wingers, is Campbell fit enough/mobile enough to get on the end of the crosses???
Looking at last Saturday, no.

There were a few chances (very few) in the 1st half when there was chance to cross, but no one in the box to cross to.

Everyone was on the edge of the box.

It depends how high Campbell is asked to play? Good observation BTW regarding last Saturday.

He's only been compared to Mason Greenwood if you're a bit thick and dont understand what analogies are.
I assume it was you then. It’s nothing like Mason Greenwood.

I’d say a good analogy for Solomon would be when Anel refused to wear the rainbow armband rather than comparing him to a sexual deviant. It’s a socio-political view held by a footballer and not a crime.

Are you saying speaking up about the defence of your country is not similar to raping and beating the shit out of your girlfriend?

well this tells me selles is determined to stick to 433 but for me the way solomon terrorised defenders on the left last season he has to play there with barry on the right and as a poster has said swap them over during games also think if hamer goes the midfield 3 would be soumare the chelsea lad and o'hare in an attacking free role maybe 4213 formation

Barry is nowhere near Solomon standard. He’s automatically left wing first choice and Barry is on the bench (or on the right).

Yes, was going to put the disclaimer of 'it depends how high he is being asked to play'.

I've put on another post, that I'm usually in early enough to watch the shooting warm up and part of that is a drill to get it wide and fizz it in.

They did it a couple of times early on, but there wasn't anyone in the box to play it across, so they had to come back out again.

I dont think he's fit at the moment, but he has to play as we didn't have any other real options to replace him IMO.

Read the thread.

I've not compared Solomon to Greenwood.

Nobody has.

The fact that you've come to that conclusion is baffling.

I dont either
Im well aware of that but the last 2 years of war and all the bombing and killing has been mostly down to Hamas and their decision to carry out the act of October 7th they surely knew what would happen. I certainly did

This is my last post on the matter as its supposed to be a thread about signing a player its been de-railed enough
👐

Mentioning Greenwood in relation to Solomon is a comparison whether you intended it to be or not. If it was an analogy then it was a fairly tenuous one at best.

I’m not going to get in a debate about it and fall out but if you can’t see why mentioning Greenwood makes it a comparison in some way then there’s no point.

A girlfriend who tried to drop the charges, stayed with the guy and had a kid together.

That's very weird.

This is epic s24su stuff, admidst all the teeth nashig and political back and forth, there is actiually still a thread going on about the merits of signing a winger and the CF who you hope would benefit from that. Bravo

Isn't that what far left wing antifa folks do? Love freedom of speech until someone disagrees with their view, then they want them banning, Cancelled and naturally call them a racist.

T'old Pedro is last one off a full house vs Jon Bon.
Funny that you see it that way when it seems completely apparent to most people that the idiots on both sides follow the same boring rules. The only difference is instead any challenge to the right opens accusations to being called cucks, Guardianistas, Antifa or rape/child abuse apologists instead. 🤷‍♂️

If we sign Solomon (which I hope we do) then for me Barry goes to left centre forward next to Campbell and Solomon plays as an out and out winger

Both nearly as bad as each other and it doesn’t belong on a football thread, there's general chat and shoutbox for that bollocks.

Personally current affairs and politics bore me and I tend to try not to speak on these matters (especially politics, as they all piss on same pot).

You've put 2 and 2 together, got Gus Uhlenbeek and now trying to make it my problem.

Give it a rest. Its only an issue if you have the reading comprehensive of roadkill

Agree that I hope we sign him but would hopefully have Danny Ings alongside Campbell with Barry as his replacement and Cannon going on loan or hopefully sold

It'd be nice if the "get politics out of football" crowd appreciated that that in and of itself is a political viewpoint and represents where you have drawn your own line of what matters to you.

Similarly telling "lefties, Guardianistas and snowflakes" to "fuck off" and "stay away" for voicing some discomfort at a possible signing isn't a pro-free speech position to hold.

Saying "keep politics out of football"
Definitely..
Isn't a political view.

solomon would be a fantastic signing imo and would soften the blow if hamer goes as rodley has said hes far better quality than barry so for me he goes straight in the team on the left with barry switching to the right and still think another striker will come in over the weekend with cannon going out on loan possibly back to stoke

Bit harsh to the potential new player we haven't signed yet ......

This thread has really exposed some ignorant views.

Look I get it, this lad at championship level is a game changer and is exactly what we need. People are desperate for the team to improve. All I have stated is it is a divisive signing and I will explain exactly why.

Its nothing to do with a tweet. Showing support for the IDF is not a good look. The IDF are currently carrying out some of the most heinous crimes the world has ever seen, all livestreamed in realtime and their leaders are wanted for crimes against humanity. Before anyone says October the 7th that does not excuse or condone what is going on now.

Just cause you don't give a shit about politics, or morality or about anyone other than your own , that doesnt mean people who do care about such matters do not have a legitimate right to voice their opinion any more than you do yours.

I can totally understand people who want nothing to do with anything associated with the IDF right now.

Calling them snowflakes ar other such bollocks just shows you to be simple minded and ignorant.

Im not gonna stop going or have a meltdown if he signs, it's not like I have to agree with every players opinions or views.

I know apologies for drifting back to football.

FWIW, my political thoughts on the matter in question is there are a lot of innocent people having there lives ruined.
