The above players are all currently fit as far as I know, so there's know reason why Adkins couldn't play this team.
They would offer much more excitement and entertainment value than the current team.
Most of them are under 25 with the potential to improve individually and as a team.
Almost all of them are under contract for next season, so if even a few of them are successful, we could hit the ground running with just a few key additions. Instead of needing to replace over half the team in the Summer.
Would the team above really be much worse than the team Adkins will actually play for the rest of the season?
They certainly have the potential to be a whole lot better.

With respect Sothall those players are just not good enough. Turd polishing and clutching straws spring to mind.

Personally I like your idea and wish the club had employed it from the start of the season .They would have had to make a statement in the summer to manage expectations, but it would have bought Adkins time to recruit players to develop longer term (rather than expensive senior loan players), and given breathing room for developing the younger players already in situ. The club has more or less just done this via Phipps statement anyway.
A transitional year for SUFC in the third is never palatable but for me it beats spin and bs.
