True, I wouldn't want a Jags, Cayhill, Harry or the two Kyles back in our defence either. They made their choices let them live with it! ;):)
I bet they're happier with theirs than we are with ours!

Harry would need to apologize in my opinion. Nobody blames him for seeking a better financial position, or a chance in the PL. The games he played to get there were nasty and not showing the respect that he should have had for the Blades.

Also , he didn't look too hot under Weir and he didnt look to hot, even a fish out of water, in the PL.

Perhaps it was only around the Beard, or under Clough, that he did look a different class.;-)

To be fair, Gary Cahill was never actually ours.

Imagine the flight of the ball and an empty goal if the ball would have gone in, its his.

If it was on target then its his goal.

so when a ball is shot directly towards goal and the keeper fumbles it he was collecting it... it normally goes down as a keeper OG due to the fact the keeper touched it last, surely it has to do with who else would have been in the way, (i.e. the two guys behind the defender may have stopped it had the ball not changed direction (which I think it the key usually)

Losing Harry was the biggest single reason we fucked up.

Not quite. Failing to adequately replace him despite having three weeks in August to get a permanent CB in was that reason. Failing to get a decent CB in on loan before Christmas exacerbated that mistake (McCarthy was a joke) and then not signing anyone in January was the cherry on the shit cake.

"In association football, an own goal occurs when a player causes the ball to go into his or her own team's goal, resulting in a goal being scored for the opposition.

The fact that the defending player touches the ball last does not automatically mean that the goal is recorded as an own goal. Only if the ball would not have gone past the goal-line but for the defending player would an own goal be credited. Thus a shot which is already "on target" would not be an own goal even if deflected by the defender. In this case the attacker is awarded the goal, even if the shot would have otherwise been easily saved by the goalkeeper."

This isn't an own goal...

This is a GK's own goal

When balls bounce off the post or bar and hit a GKs back. That is also an OG as it isn't travelling on target.

Remember Peter Encklman? His was credited as an OG as it was thrown back to him. If Mellberg had kicked it back to him it would've been Mellberg's. You can't score an OG from a Throw-In as you can't score a normal goal from a throw-in.

Agreed. Starting with Harry fucking off and Clough doing fuck all to cover him

He was in Sheffield bladdered two weeks back. He looks dopy sober, even more so hammered.

Tony Currie ,Keith Edwards ,Brian Deane ? Harry always gave 100% ,and always would in my opinion.

TC only played in one spell for the Blades. KE & BD came back under different managers. Not sure if anybody has come back under the same manager.
