Hey, without the add ons, if he doesn't play, perform, help us stay up etc, then the fee won't be £10m, and, when Bournemouth sell Brooks for £50m, he'll almost be free, no need to panic ;)

But people already doubting him......

After 20 minutes at Matlock. Great fans.
Doubt yes, hardly comes to us with a prolific record. I’m sure you have doubt? Have you ever seen him play to not have doubt?

Confidence that Wilder knows what he’s doing...100%. Could turn out to be a gem/ bargain.

Just on my way back from Matlock. Mousett looks well off the pace, not sure what he’s been doing all pre season or if our fitness regime is a lot more intense than Bournemouths.

I will always trust Wilder and I won’t make my full judgement based on 20minutes against Matlock, but this signing with a £10m price tag seems risky. Hope I’m made to eat my words....again (like I did with McGoldrick)
Anything on how Ravel was?

Some silly billy comments on here. The lad has played his first 20 minutes of pre season, came on amongst a lot of players that have had a full pre season and were already tuned in to the flow of the game.

Give him a chance. He’s behind everyone else in terms of prep.
Possibly bad timing on my behalf for making this comment straight after the game.

However I’m still not sure on the signing, it’s a risk and an expensive one.

I really hope it works out. I can’t reiterate that enough, I just have my initial doubts.

Maybe his improving fitness might also improve his general technique and poor first touch !!

Unimpressive start, however you wish to dress it up 😞.

Room for much improvement !!

You have called it right. No doubting that.

30 mins at Matlock won’t seal his fate. But I must admit, he will need to show a massive improvement going forwards.

Educated risk and a good age I agree with the philosophy so fingers crossed all round, in wilder we trust

I saw enough that I liked in him tonight.

First of all, his legs. They're very thick and strong. Good CFs arse too. Add that to also having decent agility and it's clear he's an excellent all round physical specimen.

He also showed that powerful quick footed burst past a defender that I saw a few times on MOTD.

Other times he looked hesitant and like he was just trying to avoid injury.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about his 'limp', but it might indicate the issue that has stopped him appearing so far.

Then I will also wish that his thick legs and arse might improve his first touch also 😉.

In time 😀.

Well if tree trunk legs and a strong arse is all that counts we should be signing up half the All Blacks squad lol.

Will leave it that. Talking about a pro footballers legs and arse aint a general passion of mine tbf

He’s overweight and needs to shed a few pounds before we can see his true potential.

However, it’s the fact that as a professional footballer, he is so overweight, that concerns me. Irrespective of where he was in the Bournemouth pecking order, I’d expect him to maintain an appropriate diet and exercise program during the summer? We’ll have to wait and see 🤔

2 years ago after Matlock, I wrote off Duffy, Brooks and Nathan Thomas. It is difficult to judge from a friendly, though you might happen to get the odd one right.

I don't think people are writing him off but the 10m fee will always be a big topic to say we have a low budget to work with.

Better tell Eden Hazard that too 😬
