I posted this then got corrected that this is not the case. Then one of the Brentford lot tried ripping me to bits with no effect. Apparantly the Brooks money went towards paying off a loan.
The loan was only for £7.5m though, so it will already be paid off

I've slept on this. And i've changed my mind. It is so easy to get wrapped up in stats without knowing the full picture. Yes they don't read great, but he's been given so many 10 minute starts so no wonder.. Just because he hasn't been that prolific so far in front of goal, doesn't mean he won't be in future given the game time!

As said previously, even world class players' stats would read unkindly with the minutes Mousset has been given.

This lad clearly has all the attributes and talent to be a success, he's only 23 and has been chased by top clubs previously, he may need a bit of guidance and man management, but he is in the right place for that

His record in Ligue 2 is at least as good as Maupay’s and for France U-21 remarkably better.

That's because he played up front! He's hardly going to lose his man and cost us a goal. How many did he score? How many times did he come on and help us gain points?
That’s fair enough. I appreciate everyone has different opinions. I’m in no way a fan of Connor Washington and he does come incredibly close to being one of Wilder’s “failures” but, for me, he just about did enough to avoid that tag. He was pretty poor but not quite horrendous 👍🏽

To answer your question I believe he scored one. He was also voted MOTM at Brentford away and set the winner up.

Regarding Marvin Johnson I don’t think there’s much else to say. He’d have looked more at home playing alongside Jordan Stewart or Marcus Williams.

Similar age, Maupay's had significantly more game time at a lower level... who's to say they aren't actually similar levels in ability (albeit different styles of player)

Johnson did have one game where I thought he played very well ( West Brom away ?). Did the other two have one good game between them ?

The doors in the copthorne open inwards not out. And there are palm trees outside the windows at street level
I knew there was something wrong with that picture.
