The 2 best teams in the play-offs are Boro versus Luton Town. That is likely going to be the final at Wembley.
In the real world, there's almost no chance of either reaching top 2, so the result of tonights match doesn't chance much for either side.

Boro are the more attack/ expansive team where as Luton are excellent at stamping out threats and stopping the opposition from functioning.
So a good/ pragmatic manager would use this league match as a scouting mission, do a bit of sparring trying to identify weaknesses

Boro are the better/ more talented team with more to lose, so you deliberately don't reveal your best hand going all guns blazing.
Keep that back for when the meaningful match happens in the play-off final.
