For what it’s worth I rate him he’s a perfectly serviceable high energy box to box player at this level and you can see the attributes which made him highly rated as a youngster. However he doesn’t deliver consistently enough to be anymore than that he had a purple patch and has since regressed to something like his average. Going forward if we want to establish ourselves at this level we need to look for better which we have in Berge and then players to develop behind him. On those grounds Lundstram isn’t worth a high wage long term contract to us but he might be to other clubs whose circumstances are different.

The disrespect he’s shown the fans this season and embarrassment he’s brought upon this club has been nothing short of appalling, glad to see the back of the cunt and we can finally move on from him.

He played a big part in our success during our first season in the PL and for that I think we can be appreciative. It's only fair to recognise that. Breaking into our team on merit at PL level having failed to do so a division below deserves respect (and yes I know CW's change to the flat 3 in midfield facilitated this but JL made it his own at least for a chunk of the season).

That said, I'm not sad to see him go. His performances this season, along with many others have been poor and its been very clear for a long while now that he doesn't want to be here. Any player that doesn't want to be here needs to go this summer; we need to ensure only those that are genuinely committed to us and still up to the task remain.
